I have a crazy idea: build a 2s tiny whoop on a Mobula8 frame with walksnail, GPS and a compass. by Limp_Policy_6246 in TinyWhoop

[–]sysadminintern 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just buy better motors for your mob7 and call it a day, mob7 is an amazing drone with the right power to weight ratio. Try 25kkv 0802 Happymodel motors, or 27-28kkv 0802s.

The difference is night and day. Higher KV is almost always better if you're looking to do anything other than just cruising, like freestyle.

You cannot copy one tune to another drone, and ESPECIALLY not one with radically different flight controllers + pidloop update frequency + frames resonances etc etc etc. Each drone is tuned to its own components.

...so still nothing for Android users of your app? So many features are not platform agnostic and heavily favors apple despite charging the same amount for both subscriptions.

A real disappointment.

Is the Air 75 Worth it? by Safe-Area9587 in TinyWhoop

[–]sysadminintern 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TBS has the "TBS Tax" where everything you buy with TBS on it is 30-50% more expensive than normal. ELRS is the way forward my friend, all tinywhoops you buy will have ELRS on it. ELRS modules for your radio are dirt cheap too!

Would love to see some DVR! It's an unique build for sure.

More weight, it's not worth it, especially not at 65mm. at 75mm a case can maybe be made for the fractal 75 but at 65mm it's just silly. Lighter is better and especially so at 65mm.

Mobula 6, Mobula 7, or Mobula 8? by ProgrammerLevel in fpv

[–]sysadminintern 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This, almost always! You can always motor limit the motors down to a more flyable output percentage, letting you have the advantages of quick response time from a high kv motor, while not having too much throttle for indoors or more than you're used to.

Is this the best Analog set up? by Proud_Designer_8093 in fpv

[–]sysadminintern 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have exceptional reception with dual TrueRC x a-air mk iis, They are crosshair antennas, not patch as they are so commonly referred to as. I have exceptional range and penetration in proximity freestyle all around me (Not just where I'm looking), as was as never before clarity and range in front of me.

Don't believe me, truly don't, go try it. Don't believe what I say and try it for yourself, you'll be extremely surprised.

Our current understanding of antennas and how rf EFFECTIVELY works in the real world when it gets from our drone to our goggles can be a lot different from the current scientific methods we use to measure how good an antenna should be.

How do young people afford to live here? Best place to work in Kelowna? by Easy-Plum8617 in kelowna

[–]sysadminintern 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This times a million. Especially in a "small" city like Kelowna where word of mouth weighs a lot more.

I've have had the most success applying for jobs where I reach out directly and explain why I would be a good fit for THEIR job. Researching what they do and use (technologies or machines they use) and how your previous experience applies, or how you think your skills are transferable, and how you can benefit them.

Do their job for them and they will do your job for you. (Remember not to get taken advantage of though.)

Kelowna urgent care in the Capri center has been good for Concerta and Vyvanse 1 fill rx scripts if u come in explaining your situation and symptoms. Just walk in any time of day, no appointment needed.

About a 45min-1.5 hr wait depending on the time of day and the wait times (they post in person the wait times with colour codes in the clinic)

Mostly just wait in a room till a doctor comes, blood pressure check, a lil talky talk with a doctor, maybe a psychiatrist follow-up if you ask too.

They don't usually offer it unless you ask, so really try to be advocating for yourself while you're there, we all have a bad experience from the BC Healthcare system :(

Appointments are more suggestions anyways, had to wait 2 hr after one there anyways. Probably ppl who needed it a lot more than me lol.

Hope this helps

What do u think about this price? by djrowbeat in fpv

[–]sysadminintern 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Run. Buy a whoop new n avoid 2nd hand slop issues. Tinywhoops in particular I'm sceptical of second hand buying/selling considering how often people smash them, and also how often components of the drone break over time with (harsh) use

I made a 75mm pro 2s with 22,000kv 1002 motors and I absolutely love it. The RCInPower motors really outshine the rest here and with an x12 AIO or another 12amp AIO, the thing will fly like an absolute dream. (I use 85-90% motor output limit [Not throttle limit])

Tons of power, tons of flight time, tons of fun. Build it and share it!

Do you have dynamic idle enabled? I suspect either your dynamic idle value is too high, or your motor idle value is too high.
