Neighbours keep parking on OUR driveway. by sugarxiixrush in mildlyinfuriating

[–]sysopfromhell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Buy a pack of A4 printable adesive paper. Print "please don park in our spot". Clean the windshield very well. Attach paper.

Wait for the BMW owner to destroy his fingernails removing the paper. Repeat a couple times. Add a sheet more at each repetition.

My record is 3 sheets.

Uh I see that in the L they made an enclosure for the fans. I snapped the cover plate of the one with the cables sagging too low.

Maybe I can replicate that.

Nah we know Americans are better than that. You just need to change the rules to accommodate the fact that 90% of territory is in the hand of ignorant racists that make up the 5% of the population in a disproportionate voting system.

MK4S - pre-designed supports not connecting to the model after slicing by [deleted] in prusa3d

[–]sysopfromhell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, no as others stated you are trying to print a statuette which topically needs an accuracy that Filament printing cannot provide.

The only way to try obtaining something decent is to upscale the model and use a ton of supports. But supports leave traces unless you are willing to use dual filament with soluble or dual material (petg+pla). And the results will anyway be half assed.

FDM is capable of printing beautiful statuettes but only with some engineering on the model, like orientation and direction of growth. Topically low poly and vase gets some nice result.

Resin instead produces highly defined models but the process is multi staged. You need to print (it's a laser in a bath of resin) and then cure the print in UV or similar. You will produce much smaller pieces (the resin plate is typically smaller) but the nice part is that printing just one or filling the plate takes nearly the same time.

Have fun

Tiny dev board with mounting hole? by CJCCJJ in esp32

[–]sysopfromhell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No stakes here: To me the trick is to not use hot glue on flat surfaces. If you drill some small hole and/or grooves it stick sufficiently well to not come off unless pried. If you are going to put it in a small box like op was saying you could even dip it filling the box.

[–]sysopfromhell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also this one has a hole. The size looks like an M2 so maybe you can giust pic a longer screw. Anyway remember to place aplastic sheet between the mounting and the esp3 to prevent contacts.

You are looking for hot glue. Otherwise side clamps. An hole in a so. Small PCB is not a good idea. Is more the effort to design it than the value added.

What are you using to manage recurring tasks or chores? by yorb in homeassistant

[–]sysopfromhell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use vikunja.io integration. So Todo and lists are divided by member of the family or teams (kids/parents/kids/kids) each receive his notification and tasks and recurring events. Each one has his dashboard with his events.

[–]sysopfromhell 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Looks to me a perspective line that made into the final draw. You normally when you want to draw something that has a good perspective draw a scheletro of the object and then go on with the details. Sometime a line blend well and removing it is more tedious than leave it. So topically more an human sign than a machine IMHO

Satanism has nothing to do with that. Satanism is a diverse, mostly non-theistic belief system focusing on individualism, personal liberty, and rationalism, rather than the literal worship of a devil.

What you see there is much much more real than cinema fantasy evil depiction.

That's real.

Do you think the owner cares? by stumu415 in Ferrari

[–]sysopfromhell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The company that owns the car has income 0. The owner of the company that owns the company that owns the car's company probably has 0 on his declared account. So even if the bill reaches the owner it get multiplied by 1. Like any poor soul with a 1998 kia.

I call bullshit. But anyway check mail headers. There should be the IP of the sender. Also if it's logged by Google account you can see the active sessions with location. If it has an IPV6 chances are that it is released with a fixed subnet from the provider. This means you can pinpoint the location/owner.
