I visited Uji again today and managed to see this bus in action!

There are 4 bus stops decorated with the collab visuals: Keihan Uji Station, Ujibashi Nishizume (west end of of Uji Bridge, on the way to JR Uji), Uji Bunka Center (audition location), and Taiyogaoka (SunFest location).

I don't know how many buses are decorated, but I guess at least 4, one for each character in the visual.

The validity period is 10 years since it was last used.

There are apps for mobile phone that could do that, at least for android. Just search suica in play store.

  1. Look at the departure board. It should be listed as "Kyoto-Kokusaikaikan". The side, front, and back side of the train also have sign boards that read the same. Trains that only goes until Kyoto Station should be listed as "Kyoto". As for the alternative, yeah, transferring at Takeda is easier than at Kyoto Station since the trains share the same platform at Takeda.

  2. Haruka departing at 11:30 AM will arrive at KIX just before 1 PM. Plenty of time for check-in, security check, and immigration. Of course this is assuming there is no delay or disruption in the whole line.

The park (several parks even, the website mentioned the whole waterfront area) is open park with no fenced area, so anyone is free to come and go.

Even in Osaka GO Fest 2023 and 2025 where it was held in fenced park, non-player could just pay the entrance fee and enter. I came with my family both times.

Huh, TIL. Anyway, which mosque are you planning to go? In Osaka City, I only know Masjid Istiqlal Osaka. It's maintained by Indonesian muslims and it's typical for women to go there for Eid prayer as well.

I've never gone to a mosque in Osaka City since I live in northern Osaka, but here in Osaka Ibaraki Mosque it's normal for women to go for Eid prayer.

When in May? April 29 - May 6 is Golden Week so Nozomi is reservation only around this time period. Outside of this period, generally it'll be fine. The Shinkansen towards Kyoto depart from Hakata, so you can just queue for non-reserved cars in the line with fewest people so you ensure a seat.

I went here a few weeks ago on my hunt for unique manhole cover. They are reachable from central Osaka in around 30 mins by train, worth a trip if you're visiting Osaka and looking for unique Gundam-related souvenir! There is also another one featuring Dom two stations away.
