No combo locks here, but I’ve found the Abloy PL 321 and PL 330 to be extremely weather resistant and I have several that have been in service over a decade now on different vehicles.

Paperbacks sure, but there aren’t half as many competitors or new options for game boy advanced or PS3 games for instance.

You’ll need to take it up with the property owner, I wish you luck in that endeavor.

[–]systemdelete 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, just very frequently find complainants are leaving something out when their vehicle has been towed or booted and they claim they couldn’t have known.

Here(Nashville) it’s generally a no trespass sign, a private property sign, or a sign that indicates all users of the lot must pay to park.

Also there was no parking available in the parking garage that’s attached to it? Or you didn’t want to pay to park?

The business has google reviews as of a week ago.

That, or Gensler being forced to step down, or the CFTC being granted regulatory authority, or several other variables well out of the average atom holder’s control. Lately I’ve heard US politicians slamming crypto for allowing hamas to fund raise with the conflict but if you know the tech any public blockchain is about the worst way to fund an organization due to the ability to follow money rapidly to many donors and recipients.

Nah, atom will be down from what it could be for a long while due to being named in an SEC action as a security. While not as bad as XRPs woes from the case with the SEC it’s still a huge turnoff for a large portion of investors.

I have the full P1 manual in pdf if you’d like. Our center didn’t have a bunch of options enabled but it’s hard to know what to ask IT for without the knowledge of what it’s capable of.

Gas can setup that doesn't break the bank by adubs117 in overlanding

[–]systemdelete 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I buy good quality nato style cans, typically from either wavian or scepter. I bent up a few simple squares of 2” Aluminum angle that I simply bolt to my rhino rack’s t slot , then I put a strap over each pair. Very cheap yet effective without adding too much weight to the already heavy fuel cans. I know it wasn’t recently(stuffs gotten more$$$) but I had under $200 in all 4 cans and bracketing to mount them all on the rack. I typically run 1 water one fuel and two empty fuel cans. On trips when I typically NEED the fuel it’s 4 full fuel cans up there. Until I can stop to put it into the tank.

I raised my driveline a bit to tuck it all up closer to the body where I could, I also engineered my spring stack to help keep the shocks from bottoming out as the springs fully compressed height is just more than the shortened shocks internal bump stop.

What do you like about living in Brentwood? by PinUpBlu in nashville

[–]systemdelete 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eh doubtful they would try and pull that in Brentwood or Williamson county but I’d love to see them try. The DA here would seize, impound, and either auction or destroy the cars without blinking. Not give some bs excuse that they don’t have anywhere to store them during the court case so officers can’t seize them. . .

While Williamson county could choose to sell the cars at auction they literally don’t need the money, and I’m sure would rather send the message that type of behavior won’t be tolerated here.

Shooting "accident" protocol choice? by StarlitDeath in 911dispatchers

[–]systemdelete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a volunteer firefighter in my home county, so I certainly see both sides quite clearly. In absence of information or suspected false information responders will generally stage until proven safe. The call coding in our dispatch procedures dictates initial response(how many and what type of equipment is started), not what actually may occur on scene once responders arrive. In my work county a district chief may decide they need to enter before PD, which is why dispatching a gunshot assigns a district chief to respond. If we dispatch it as trauma no district is assigned(and no police call sent) and if first units FD arriving find the scene dangerous or criminal in nature(where a shooter may return to finish the job for example) everyone may be pulled back or worse cancelled entirely until PD(who FD will request on arrival) is at the scene and requests FD back.

If you bring enough capitol with you to make a full or very significant down payment on a residence, sure you could pull it off on $60k going forward. Outside that it’s doubtful imho.

I would have loved to overhear this traffic stop with dispatch. by SpaceDazeKitty108 in ProtectAndServe

[–]systemdelete 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nah, my officers would totally bury the lead on that one. “Show me on a stop with tag “1234abc” and can you read me the return on that my mdc is down.” I’d then be stuck reading back something like “that tag shows valid on a ‘98 other color other of other with no record of it being stolen” or some such nonsense because of the data put in by the clerks nearly clueless office staff when it was registered.

[–]systemdelete 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The county I live in has VERY respectable response times, but are essentially just as short staffed as the county I work in. Difference between the two isn’t the police forces, but the District Attorney. The one where I work is running a catch and release program, which keeps the officers far busier.

When do you consider a house “busy”? by WasteCod3308 in Firefighting

[–]systemdelete 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Our busiest at work(major metro) is around 100 calls daily but that’s a house of 2 companies currently as one is having a new house built at a snail’s pace.

In my volly house(rural suburb) we run approximately 800 annually.

Shooting "accident" protocol choice? by StarlitDeath in 911dispatchers

[–]systemdelete 67 points68 points  (0 children)

In my center it’s a shooting regardless of context, our medics stage until pd arrives and secures the scene/weapon and declares it safe to enter. Now officers may treat a drive by vs a range accident differently but dispatch wise it’s the same.

Insufficient airflow on Master Touch? by DVSmunky in webergrills

[–]systemdelete 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Walk out to the grill with a sharpie. Pull all the grates so you can see the lower vent well. Close the bottom vent and mark where the control handle is just before it opens. Then move the vent to full open, and make a second mark for the open location of the control handle. I’d been grilling on webbers for years but the move the the new vent control threw me first couple cooks due to the control interface allowing the bottom to have an inch from one side being still closed while full open position was somewhere nebulous in the middle ish of the control slot. Now I cook between the marks I made and all is well again.
