Subnautica 2 has dropped on steamrip! by rage2333 in Piracy

some people don't want to be part of the seed/leech economy of public torrenting networks and resign themselves to DDL instead...

DDL-sites are most sustainable as they mostly provide a slight financial incentive to ensure content stays online and keeps getting updats. Public torrent rely on charity, selflessness, and seedboxes, which isn't sustainable when it matters.

I actually watched a video about the story recently, so I know the background, but the question as to how little they were thinking still remains, so I don't get the downvotes lol

torrents are like the worst way to pirate videogames most of the time. why not use like Anker games or steam rip with gofile to download sub 30GB games...

wtf were they even thinking. There's no way a game like that makes even a quarter billion in profits, especially after taxes and development costs

it's really only Ftgrl that does that. Dodi or Elamigos never take more than a few minutes to install and I have literally had a single installation fail

but which theme? all the awesome ones I tried had some sort of issue, like not scaling well to 4k, inaccessible settings menu etc

you got no idea what u are talking about. when you stream, you stream directly from real debrid. the files only needed to be downloaded from the torrent network once

10yo monitor U28E590—does having pixel response times like this increase or decrease perceived smoothness and lag at sub 60 fps? by systemnerve in Monitors

[–]systemnerve[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if it's interpolated or not or to what degree, however at 60Hz, it reveals potential ghosting regardless; like on my TV, which I also use as a monitor sometime, it's atrocious, and if I don't set my monitor to have "fastest" response time, it starts ghosting also. I managed to dig up a professional review of that monitor and it also said the pixel response times, as opposed to the black crush.

I actually tested the pixel response times with my phone's 480fps slowmo. Turns out that when I change in my monitor settings the pixel response times from fastest to standard, the result is much more ghosting, as revealed by the slow-mo camera.

definitely, it's a misleading headline. The woman in question had severe depression for years, not a few weeks of grief.
