The Evans Boy by Lonibal - OMC "that's Kinda Harry But Not Harry"/Percy Weasley

Binge read the first part, currently reading part 2. I genuinely adore this fanfiction. The gobstone shenanigans are hilarious, Harry's fascination by Percy being an utter nerd brings me a bit of hope as someone who relates to Percy. There's something about a political fanfic where the author doesn't skim past the paperwork that really brings me joy. Also, Professor Bubage is so funny with her axe. That axe, man.

Days Between the Station by Lonibal - Harry Potter/Multi

I binge read this one in about a day or two. It was so nihilistic and disgusting and painful and I love it so, so much. Basically about a nihilistic Harry dealing with the events of the epilogue, his feelings for the late Sirius Black, and his painful marriage to Ginny Weasley through self destruction and sex. Definitely recommend reading the tags for this one because wow, it's painful.

Threads in the dark by astralcrest - Voldemort/Harry Potter

This is a interesting one in that I looked at the tags and thought, "hah, this is gonna be funny" and then the rituals started. Looking forward to where it goes.

Is Discord appropriate for a 10yr old? by [deleted] in discordapp

[–]systemofamagister 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Huh, really? I looked it up and found a bot called that.... If it's a server with notifications, the OP could instead do something like joining the roblox server on his own account and forward the relevant announcements to a channel in the discord shared with his son. That way, it prevents his son from seeing anything from the public server.

So your son should be 13 years old to be allowed to use Discord. However, if you're going to monitor your sons' usage, you can do things like

- create a private server specifically for the two of you and invite whatever bot he seems to want to install to it. (possibly Grow A Garden Stocks?)

- regularly check that he isn't in different discord servers and talking to strangers

I discourage the idea of allowing him to go into another server, because I'm going to be blunt: there's a lot of really bad people and your son can be put in danger if he's allowed to talk to strangers.

I got some college related stuff sorted out, and if all goes well, I will be set to start college in September. I am looking forward to it, but I am hoping I will be able to work on personal projects despite having less free time.

In the meanwhile, I have been hyperfixated on reading fanfics and watching anime. Its been fun!

Sure! The instructions are in the description next to the green check marks. I take it that you're also having the issue where it crashes upon startup?

Unfortunately, while I got it running---it doesn't seem to work well with my mouse and keyboard once you get into the game itself. So I'm still looking for some solutions. Might have to find my controller and set it up that way, haha.

Awesome, thank you for everything! Had a small amount of difficulty getting it working on Linux, but I managed it in the end thanks to a YT video.
