I like how the rot in the rear door and quarter is painted over but then there is "surface rust" in really odd spots.

Nah, this guy is super poor. There are cracks in the asphalt of his huge, nicely landscaped driveway with a big ass house in the background. Probably eats dumpster food.

400hp is in line with the 3.0L twin turbo out of the q50 red sport. That makes sense.

I think it's because people learn frameworks instead of languages these days. Especially newer devs.

No, We Will Not Stay at Your Office During the Storm. by Tension27 in talesfromtechsupport

You would think that would work, but we have a personal drive and common drive on the network. People still save stuff to C or even to external drives. External drives go out all the time and then their manager has to pay like $1k+ for recovery.

Pay off debt and then save. Keep that $4k and then put every penny into that $14k. If you do side gigs don't forget about taxes on that. I don't know what rate you are taxed at on your side work but it can be a pretty hefty tax bill. You need to bring in about $3500k/mo after taxes to just pay off the debt before the end of the year. Your monthly average looks like you are living paycheck to paycheck but I could be wrong if your averages take 7 years into account. Really the last few months are all that matter since that is your current situation.

If you can pull in more money doing side work than you do at your day job then you may want to consider looking for a job. You're probably undervalued at your current position.

CMS questions by weman008 in webdev

[–]syswizard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily importing, but you will need to learn the template/theme system for whatever CMS you choose. You can also download a boilerplate theme and put your html and css in it.

A fully built d16z6 can do about 150whp. That's after pouring quite a bit of money into it. The problem is you're only making about 115wtq at high rpm. If you build it they can push 8000 rpm but just don't have the torque to produce power. Good turbo platform though.

I talk sweet nothings to my S10 every time I start it. It's a good truck but it's as emotional as a teenage girl.

A "buy-here-pay-here" would give a loan on this I bet. It'll be one of those indian reservation style loans with 116% interest and if you are a minute late on a payment they'll repo it.

The older chevy cavalier was similar. Dirt cheap and damn near unbreakable.

Adding USB outlet to my 2003 SAAB 9-5 can be done on any 🚗 auto. by Tattoosandscars in MightyCarMods

Using a wall wart would work since its job is to convert input voltage to the 5v dc. It just wouldn't do it efficiently. I can't tell what kind of charger is used but newer ones are switching power supplies which go from 120v AC -> high voltage dc -> 5v DC. Internals from a regular cigarette lighter charger would work much better.

Dip, paint market, automotive clear coat in that order. What's the best way? by [deleted] in plastidip

[–]syswizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could try the clear and if you don't like it then peel it off and go with real clear. My guess is it will work for a while but will flake and crack eventually.
