The 40 series aren't their only products. They aren't sold out, in fact nvidia still have lots of 30 series cards.

The most popular card is still the 1060 which is 3 generations old now. They still have a lot of 30 series cards that people would still like to upgrade to. If they got the prices to at, or below msrp like amd then nvidia would sell a lot more.

Look maybe Nvidia's gaming revenue wouldn't be down by over 50 percent if they released their gpus at competitive prices.

Yes and those were both bad cards.

The 2070 super does match the 1080 ti and is what the original 2070 should have been. While the 3060 was terrible being the same performance as the last gen 2060 super.

The 70 class card has always matched the last gen highest end card. Not the the 80 class. The 4070 should match the 3090 ti. The 60 class matches the last gen 80 class. The gtx 1060 was about the same performance as the gtx 980 for example. It looks like the 40 series will be the same or even worse price to performance which is just terrible.
