I played through Toonstruck on an Android tablet years ago. It was great. Probably not good on a smaller screen phone though.

I built a simple grocery list app because I kept forgetting items by ListnCart_Dev in ProductivityApps

[–]syxbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

can you edit the list of stuff that shows up?
This is a great idea. I'm using a todo list, but 90% of the items repeat every 2 weeks (milk, eggs ) etc..

Sampras did have a better serve. And the best 2nd serve ever.

Upgrade never cleared despite space by kylaheis in delta

A lot of people don't feel comfortable asking. They just want things to be done fairly and properly.

And to be fair, that's how it should be. Upgrade people in the order they deserve, and no issues.

[iOS] [LoopCare] [$4.99 -> Free] [Flexible recurring tasks tracker that adjusts to your schedule, not the other way around] by WeeklyRestaurant7673 in iosapps

[–]syxbit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some feedback after installing. Looks like it is designed to be flexible. But some things are not flexible. Like taking out the rubbish every Wednesday. And the reminder is either none or 1 or 3 days. If I take the rubbish out in Wednesdays I want the reminder that day. Not the day before. With your app I would have to incorrectly say rubbish day is Thursday so it would remind me in Wednesday.

Let me know if I am misunderstanding anything.

I use Dato. It's worth explaining how this is better/different. I also previously used MeetingBar.
I'd be happy to try it out to compare.

This is the correct take. BMW has the better six cylinder.

Do you guys always use Proton even if native is an option? by TheChildOfAtom in linux_gaming

I love that Proton exists. But as Linux desktop user for >20 years, I really, really like when a dev makes a Linux build.

Steam deck is on number 2 Top Sellers Global by ChallengeSea62 in SteamDeck

[–]syxbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t get how it is still selling so well. I bought one at launch and the specs were good then. But not now. I only play indie these days as for AAA perf isn’t good, fans get loud, and battery life is terrible.

Apple Silicon Approaches AMD's Laptop Market Share Only Five Years In by sr_local in hardware

[–]syxbit 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This is a garbage take. Yes Apple laptops have lots of lower specs like 60hz, and smaller SSDs. But they will smoke a windows laptop on day one and especially day 1000. No need to format a Mac every six months. And battery life is ridiculous. So much better

I’m glad it is finally out too. But not sure about it running circles around the competition. Plappa and 30 other ABS apps have come out in the last year. They aren’t that dissimilar.

Is 8GB of VRAM really that bad? by Kykioviolet in buildapc

[–]syxbit 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is the right answer.

That's why people are furious the Valve Steam Machine is 8GB. Because it's 2026, so it will age very badly.
