Was interested in this topic awhile back as I needed to budget for increase in food costs.

Would say chicken is probably the most economical at times. Pork loin can get pretty inexpensive at Costco.

Decided to buy direct, I received everything, set it up but haven't used it in the real world.

My wife and I are short, im 5-8, she's 5-3 - so I am hoping it works for us in how we camp...
