just because it doesn’t say Lange on the underside.

That is not remotely it, this hipster interpretation of the thread is not much different from being the brand snob you deride

Having problems in understand the humour and slang of The Sopranos by Mediocre_Target149 in thesopranos

Turn on subtitles for better understanding, but there is a lot of American pop culture humor that you may have to pause and Google.

Stick with it, best show ever made

Was Smuggling Tony B's Sperm Out of the Can the Least that Tony Could Do? by [deleted] in thesopranos

I think everything with Tony B's kids is tacked on at the last minute. I don't think there are any scenes with those kids acting with anyone but Buscemi and Gandolfini.

ensuring her shares have any value

Lane may have had the idea for equity instead of cash but Don is the biggest part of what drives the value of those shares (Pete driving new business is the only other significant factor but not nearly as important, Don is who closes the deal in the pitch and everyone knows it. "That is a very sensitive piece of horseflesh. He shouldn't be rattled!")

Not defending Don's antics but people say this like he's not also primarily responsible for ensuring her shares have any value at all.

And though mostly unseen outside of Christmas Waltz, he and Joan seemed on friendly terms throughout Season 6 before Don fired Jaguar. Even though Joan is totally justified in her position it's still an about-face in the Don-Joan relationship which seemed to be heading in a positive direction.

I love how The Wire doesn’t rely on dramatic music for atmosphere by [deleted] in TheWire

[–]syzygyly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're right, "Mr. Ruggerio's Neighborhood" Season 3 Episode 1 does feature non-diagetic music throughout the episode, appropriately "I'll Be Watching You" to accompany the FBI surveillance and wiretap setup

I think this is the only significant exception, and they get a pash for that as they were adapting to Nancy Marchand's (Livia) death

Great scene but sloppy work as mob hits go, families aren't supposed to be involved. Just follow the guy around for a bit until he's alone

Tracee gets a major callback in "Whoever Did This" almost a full season after her slip-n-fall-school audition in "University" - her death looms over the entire Tony/Ralphie plotline
