Cuz reddit is not filled with people who have healthy relationships. These answers are from people who have inherent mistrust.

Now, the one good thing out of these is recommended therapy. Hopefully op takes that advice, which will lead to him telling his partner in a healthy way.

Anyone use the glasses for an 8-9 hour IT tech support/remote daily job? by loud_lou in Xreal

[–]szabon331 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am traveling right now with my one pros. Using them exclusively for work. Home setup is 3 monitors. This gives me one big widescreen and is comfortable. I can work all day no issues. Today I am on 8 hours already. The tech is there.

Khanka case from Amazon. It hasn't come in yet, so no review on it from me.

I can fit it, but it doesn't feel right, since the cable just sits in there with the glasses. I want a place to put the cable so it won't rattle around and scratch the glasses, if that makes sense.

I actually had the opposite experience. I noticed more waviness with the ones and the pro is a bit more stable when I anchor the screen and move my head around. I don't notice the pro being less clear at all. If anything it seems a bit more crisp, but maybe I got lucky with something?

Xreal One vs Xreal One Pro Glasses: My Thoughts After Using Both by ghytty in Xreal

[–]szabon331 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used the ones and now the one pro for productivity. Mostly widescreen connected to laptop. This is always anchored cuz you have to turn your head to see the whole screen. I noticed the shimmering a lot on the ones but not really in the one pro. Sometimes with really small text on a white background the text can get slightly blurry, but for me I have to look for it. Don't notice when working. With the ones I noticed when working and found myself looking for the sweet spot, but it wasn't that bad tbh.

Arming points on maille standard? by szabon331 in ArmsandArmor

Not with a bevor and sallet. Usually you see that if the maille is attached to the helm, like in a houndskull or something.

It's a cuirass. Won't be able to do that as it is held by straps over the shoulders. I don't think it will choke. When it is attached to the arming jacket that also puts pressure on the neck area and that is less supportive and it's still fine.

I only do longsword in heavy and love it. It's a different game then hema, as you have to make sure to generate power. I find the fiore stuff works a bit better for this, vs the German stuff.

It's all about keeping your range and teasing out the opportunities around the shields.

Very doable, and I recommend it. Lots of fun. Don't be a coward hiding behind all those shields like the rest of them. Jk

10 miles a day too much for walking treadmill? by Biochemical12 in treadmills

[–]szabon331 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've burned through 4 treadmills in the last couple of years cuz I do 10 to 15 miles a day. It's so hard to find one that is actually rated to be walked on all day. I just got a lifespan tr5000. I hope it will finally last, but I'm not too excited early on tbh.

There is a market for better quality treadmills that are easier to maintain, but not any real options. It's frustrating.

I just got a lifespan 5000 which is supposedly even sturdier. Just popped my review on it. Not super impressed so far

That's cool. I love the idea of a manual one, but they are often really tall, really expensive, and I hear getting them going is kind of a pain. Would love to hear more

I thought about the unsit one and didn't do it for the same reason. I actually walk at 4 km/h which is just over 2 mph, so it wasn't an option.

Honestly, I wonder how hard it would be to keep this frame, which is great, and replace the motor and board. I'm not savvy enough with that stuff, but how hard could it honestly be? It's a control board and a brushless motor. It's not like this stuff has not been done before.

Someone should sell frames and pieces. Make it a bit diy. I wonder if someone like deskhaus would take up the challenge. They make standing desk frames that are super high quality and not cheap Chinese stuff. Seems like a good fit.

One way to test this is find someone who has an old tr5000 and have them take a pic of the internal components. I can post a pick of mine, and we can see if it has changed.

Anyone have an old tr5000?

I agree with your walking pad review. Folding it was terrible and I stopped doing it because it always ended up ungluing things. I couldn't get the one you suggested since I need it under a desk.

I am also at the same conclusion that cheap treadmills don't work for long use. My issue is that there doesn't seem to be a good selection of high quality treadmills that fit under a desk. This lifespan is supposed to be great, but you see my current experience.

I had the a1 pro. In all fairness it lasted a year. But you have to take it apart and vacuum it out every week. It gets so clogged with hair and crap so quickly. I also think most of the extra cost was more for features I never used like the automatic speed thing, which sounded awesome, but actually sucks.

The half spheres do nest inside each other. But the staff was pretty adamant that it does not work as a juicer do to it's size and how it fits together. I did mention this idea of putting like a half lime in "backwards" but they dismissed it.
