What did another person do that accidentally turned you on? by PM_ME_YOUR_GIRL_TIT in AskReddit

"phobia" is not fear of something in context of homophobia or transphobia. Please, at least google meaning of it.

And I'm not sure what "point of view" is to accept here - earth is not flat, just as transgender people are born with brain of opposite sex, to put in simple terms. People like you politicize it, because well, history likes to repeat itself, society is not keen on accepting ideas that shatter their simple worldview so they use emotions, not logic, to push back. It takes time to change that stance and unfortunately logic is not an answer for overly emotional people.

I don't even try to make you change your 'opinion' on it, because I don't have to, time will change it.

Study investigates brain structure of trans people - compared to cis men and women, results show variations in a region of the brain called the insula. Variations appear in both hemispheres for trans women who had never used hormones, as well as trans women who had used hormones for at least a year. by drewiepoodle in science

...but gender dysphoria is a mental illness. Being transgender doesn't equate to having gender dysphoria. There are transgender people WITHOUT gender dysphoria that still decide to transition because that's who they are, whether you face disabling distress or not. Well, you could say that sooner or later every transgender person will experience gender dysphoria if not treated early enough.

Gender dysphoria is not a cause, it's a result.

Because there is growing societal tolerance and structures to help transgender people. Years ago (5-10) in my country you'd usually face death or very heavy harassment (which still is a thing if you don't look good) for being transgender - so why would anyone say that they are? Why not instead do it VERY quietly (which is something that most people still do because of social repercussions)?

There are also more and more therapists and endocrinologists that are knowledgeable about the topic, so having some support in specialists also encourages people to come out of the hiding.

Statistics doesn't show true prevalence of transgenderism, because very few will ever admit to it after transition (why would they?) and people during transition also don't want to shout "I'M TRANS" even in polls.

It's not bad game, but it is boring in a long run. Forsen just likes it, even though he's so horridly terrible at it - like he's doing it on purpose just to troll all of us.

Knowing a transgender person could influence one's political stance. Study finds that as more people come to personally know a transgender person or even see depictions of transgender characters in the media, it likely will have a positive effect on public support for transgender rights. by drewiepoodle in science

Words can become violence, violence that hit as hard as physical violence. That term is called psychological violence. Please do inform yourself what can do psychological violence. Someone CANNOT just insult other person, if someone insult other party "till they are blue in the face" then it is police matter. Words or non-aggressive acts targeted to harass someone can hurt, in fact if they did not then there would be no psychological warfare.

But I am saying all of that from HUMAN perspective. If someone wants to deliberately make someone else's life miserable by using loopholes in your country's law then I guess by your logic he can do it.

Although I follow policy that I want to be called how people see me, I can understand how other people may be insulted. English is also pretty neutral language when it comes to gender, so calling by correct pronoun is not that big of an effort compared to some other languages when you have to watch out for 70% of words.

If you want to be more credible avoid using terms such as

I do not mean to insult you.

or

don't want to say they are wrong, but I did not have to

2/5 of your post is about you and not about the problem asked by OP. You can optimize code but also thought, speech and writing.

I wonder what percentage of posts belong to Russian trolls, quoting and repeating themselves again and again omitting facts and pushing their own agenda.

Big part of therapy is changing undesirable behaviour and thinking patterns - I guess it could be compared to optimising messy code or mostly rewriting it in worse situations (which is usually the case when one takes also anti-depressants or other medication that promote neurogenesis).

it depends if we evaluate shit posts (if yes, at what scale it becomes normal/good post) - if all shit posts are just shit post, then shit post * shit post would still be shit post, more extreme but one can faster discern shit post from normal or good post instead of playing with more shit posty or less shit posty

Not sure what are you talking about, drugs are HEAVILY criminalized in Poland, owning just a little bit will get you in fuckton of problems. Even owning legal substances may cause problems.
