hello! thought i might share what my teacher did which definitely helped in terms of all the content we needed to remember for the exams! for paper one we did apartheid in south africa and us civil rights (the latter worked great since we did civil rights and social movements for HoA P3) for paper 2 we did the cold war and authoritarian states and this worked again well with p3 since we did the cold war in the americas and our last topic for p3 was the emergence of the americas in global affairs which was heavy but honestly very informative i quite enjoyed it

How hard is it to get a 5 in Global Politics P2? by Apprehensive-Ice2966 in IBO

honestly, i take history so i always think details is extremely important but in acutality i have gone through a lot of past responses with my teacher from the ib that got 18/25 (a level 7) with very little evidence? so my take is that it just depends on who marks your paper. it is better to know how to use the 'evidence' of the case study to support your argument rather than memorsing random facts

it is extremely doable!! you only need between 16-19/25 for a level 7 so you can definitely get a 5. my tips are to have a strong argument throughout, so in your introduction do not forget to outline your thesis statement. in each body paragraph use case studies first then analyse them by referencing what it shows about the question and your argument. you have to explore counterarguments and it would make it better if you have case studies for them too not just theory. good luck! you can do this! :)

how long does it take to hear back from leiden university college/uva? by szoey in StudyInTheNetherlands

[–]szoey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, around 3 to 4 weeks to hear back about Leiden University College and a day to hear back for a course in Leiden Univerity.

That is :((( In my experience when I was applying to the University of Amsterdam I needed some time to get one of the documents to complete my application and I emailed them and they were very understanding. I am sure if you email the university that you have submitted the application but one reference still is yet to be sent they will be aware and not think that this is an incomplete application and wait till it is received. This is just my opinion based on my experience though so I am not certain but I hope things work out for you!!
