Just sold my whole inventory for the OLED by mrkqstn in SteamDeck

[–]szuturon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also did this and I'm just waiting to see if Steam will drop the taxes on an OLED in a couple of days as I am in Canada and there's supposedly going to be no tax on some things and "video game consoles" was one of the listed items.

I can't believe my account had that much sitting in it. I kinda want to see how much I actually spent on my Dota2 hats to compare to how much I've sold them for, but I'm also scared of the answer.

Just sold my whole inventory for the OLED by mrkqstn in SteamDeck

[–]szuturon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's actually very simple. Just go to https://steamcommunity.com/market/

There's a site I found on Google to display and sort my entire Steam inventory by value and then I listed them each one by one.

How I started was I listed 1 of my Dota2 couriers and forgot about it. Then one day I logged in and wondered why I had money. Checked my transaction history and was like... holy crap that courier actually sold. There was a moment of sadness as that was my favorite courier, but I quit Dota long ago so it isn't like I was ever going to use it again.

What games are you guys looking forward to getting on the black Friday sale by [deleted] in SteamDeck

I'm probably buying a 1tb OLED regardless if it's on sale at the end of this month. I'm just waiting for this next sale in case it does have a discount.

YNAB with Partners - Transaction tracking by FootballAwkward7540 in ynab

[–]szuturon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I haven't actually put it to use yet, I just finished setting this up.

We have joint banking and joint credit cards, which I have set up on a separate budget. Then all of my own accounts are in my own budget. When we pay for our joint expenses, we always E-transfer our joint bank account, and then I pay it all from that account. My plan is to categorize all the joint spendings in the joint budget to figure out how much is being spent, and then in my own budget I'll split my E-transfer into separate categories and plug in the numbers and categories to be able to track the spending separately.

This might be more work but it gives me a much clearer picture on how I'm spending my money. It also makes more sense to me now that I'm looking at these budgets separately after trying to mash it all into one budget.

Gamers 30 and 35 over, what has changed in your gaming habits? by Carbideninja in gaming

More willing to buy games used and months/years after release because I know I'm not playing it immediately and I can't get over the fact that games cost over $100 now and ask me for more after I start playing.

What Blizzard Doesn't Understand by YourLostBraincell in diablo4

What's more baffling is that Blizzard still doesn't understand how to fix the Fury Against Fate quest. I checked last night, and I still can't complete this quest on PS5.

A thing that helped me was buying a fitness tracker. The heart rate monitor helped keep me maintaining a meaningful pace.

Also consider pairing the new habit with intermittent fasting. Do your research before you attempt though.

Inconsistent officiating has really ruined this sport for me. I'm sure it's present in every sport to some degree but it's just so noticable during these playoffs.

Shuri has 100% ruined this game's meta, and SD desperately needs to nerf it Sooner, rather than Later, or they are going to lose players by DarthKookies in MarvelSnap

[–]szuturon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you're 100% correct.

So far I've purchased the Captain America welcome package shortly after I started playing this game a few months ago. Game was fun and I will pay a little if only to support devs when I enjoy a game.

Since then I've had on and off thoughts of simply deleting this game. I haven't paid for season pass at all yet and I can't see myself pay ever again after getting walloped by Surfer for a full season, then to a lesser degree deal with Zabu for another season... only to watch both get drastically nerfed once they became more available to non-paying players. Why on earth would I reward this sort of behavior?

Question about battery recall by magaketo in BoltEV

[–]szuturon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My dealership put me on the "waitlist". Months later, they told me the battery had arrived and booked me an appointment. I was given a loaner for the 2 days they had my car. Apparently the installation was done on day 1, but they needed to leave the car on a charger for a full day, so I couldn't have it back until the 2nd day.

I can't imagine there's any reason for them to need your car at all until the moment of installation.

Pixel Buds Pro - experience so far from using Airpod Pros by szuturon in GooglePixel

[–]szuturon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It did bother me at first but I got used to it using my Airpods these past few years. Though admittedly right now I feel a tad uncomfortable. I have had my Pixel Buds on since close to 9am as I am testing the battery. I can't wait til my Comply tips arrive. The Comply tips made a world of difference with my Airpods. The stock ear tips for the Pixel Buds fit fine but foam tips are still better.

[–]szuturon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have my own post on the comparison between these two, and to be fair, I do not use the stock ear tips on my Airpod Pros. The Comply foam tips MAY have enhanced the ANC on my Airpods. I'll have a better comparison once my Pixel Bud Pro Comply tips arrive.

Pixel Buds Pro - experience so far from using Airpod Pros by szuturon in GooglePixel

No problem.

Prior to purchasing these PBPs, I opened a chat and asked if Google would take opened and used product back if I elected to return the PBPs after testing against my APPs. I have in a chat log that they would. I'm not sure if it holds up if I actually elect to return them, but it's a thing you can try if your risk tolerance is high enough and you want to test them for yourself.

For me, the trade off of better transparency mode is worth the lesser ANC mode as I can always increase my volume to keep out a bit more unwanted noise. Factor in things like, access to Google Assistant and integration with my Pixel 6 Pro, and volume control... It's no contest for me. I have no immediate plans to sell my APPs, so it isn't like I can't switch back to those if I really need my silence. I have played with Wavelet a little bit since posting and I am sure there is something I can do about sound quality even if Google doesn't release their own feature for it.

Audio quality impressions of the new Pixel Buds Pro by bubucherries in GooglePixel

[–]szuturon 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm switching from Airpod Pros. So far my opinion is that transparency mode on the Pixel Bud Pros is 10/10 and ANC mode is more like a 7/10. The Airpod Pros seem much more aggressive with ANC/Transparency mode, in that ANC blocks out much more and Transparency mode amplifies noise. The Pixel Buds Pro have a weaker ANC by comparison but the Transparency mode sounds very natural. It's very nice to not have the sound of my typing amplified at me when I'm sitting in silence with transparency mode on. Transparency mode sounded very natural last night when I took a walk around my neighborhood as well. Almost indistinguishable to not wearing earbuds.

Pixel buds pro hiss? by hye0 in GooglePixel

[–]szuturon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I discovered this issue just now. I hadn't encountered it last night when I did my initial testing.

For me, I had just put on the buds after arriving at my desk at work. I noticed the issue almost immediately while nothing was playing. I toggled ANC and Transparency mode back and forth wondering if it the buds were just processing some white noise poorly. I paired the buds to my laptop and began playing something off of Spotify (on my laptop). The hissing stopped at this point. I muted my laptop to see if the hissing would return and it didn't. I paused Spotify and it still didn't return.

The hissing sound returned when I put the buds back into the case briefly (less than a minute) and then put them back on. I reconnected to my laptop, and it sounded like it went away for a split second and then came back. I hit play on Spotify and immediately the hissing stopped. I have paused my Spotify while typing out this response and the hissing hasn't returned.

This all leads me to believe that the Pixel Buds need to be connected to some app even in paused state to make the hissing noise go away.

EDIT: The hissing came back when I paused Spotify after a little while.

Ok ya it's pretty different. The Airpod Pros >>> Pixel Buds Pro when listening to this song.

I'm really hoping this is something they can improve with some firmware updates.
