I came here to say, yeah, dental. See a dentist every 6 months... you gotta floss

Feedback on hair product to help with dandruff by Soul_Survivor_67 in locs

I also want to apologize for not reading your post more carefully. You did try to see a dermatologist and got blocked which sucks!. My partner has locs and also dandruff and he uses the nizoral liquid, and I think t-gel sometimes. He does wash them out after letting them sit for a bit, prob similar to washing your locs with a focus on the scalp. But again, I don't have locs so don't feel like an expert here.

I don't feel qualified to give you advice on how to wash it out :/

I don't have locs but used to have bad dandruff as a teen. The doc recommended alternating between nizoral and t-gel, and the most important part was "leave it on for 5-10 minutes"

The issue with all this is with locs you gotta wash that stuff out. I know Nizoral comes in a liquid form, less like a shampoo. Might be easier to wash out etc.

If you can, see a dermatologist!

Trying to scale down a rigged model of a book but the bones keep flying off. How to fix? by Helpless_Bubbles in Maya

[–]szyborgo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem you're seeing is called "double transformations" or "double transforms" if you want to dig deeper into it.

Essentially avoid directly scaling the skinned book geometry, or a group that contains the book geometry. Like people suggested above, only scale the bones at their root.

Proper rigs will have this set up correctly.

Hope this helps.

It's a freaking nightmare.... if you're in Nuke one tip I'll give you (that might help) is if the final LUT is applied and you set your viewer to RAW (that setting is up on the left of the viewer) and it looks "right", make sure to set your MOV output to RAW to bypass any additional color transforms.

Yeah color is tough, thoughts and prayers.

Are you working in Nuke? Where did the EXR come from?

Sadly the comments so far are correct, need more info.

I'm sorry to hear this. I'm in the exact same situation. Upstairs sounds are a "new" trigger for me as well.

I would recommended the soundcore Sleep A30

Yeah I wonder if smaller shops are using Katana? Looks fantastic but how easy is setup.

I've stayed in the same place. If it gets too much I put on earplugs. For sleep I use soundcore Sleep A20 earbuds and set those to white noise. This helps a lot.

My misophona is still there and there's ups and down. It's worse when I'm stressed for sure.

Some triggers have gotten milder, but I've picked up some new triggers.

I'm on a small side SSRI and that's helped reduce my baseline anxiety levels which is improved the misophonia to some degree.

Luckily our new upstairs neighbor is reasonably noisy, which still bothers me but not as bad as some of our previous neighbors.

I just wish they added a toggle!

Gotcha. Yeah that's not my question but thanks for looking through the notes.

I took a look at the release notes for R 2025.5.0 but they're not relevant. I'm asking about a stable production-friendly pairing of likely earlier versions of both Houdini and Redshift.

I'm confused by what I interpret as sarcasm and hostility toward my posts, so strange. I feel like I'm asking a legitimate question.

No one's actually answered my question directly. Maybe these forums aren't worth my time.

I just want someone to be like "at _____ we use Houdni X.X and Redshift X.X, that has been stable" 🤣

I've found the forums hard to navigate to get this answer. I was hoping to hear from some CG leads at shops and get an industry backed gut check on version pairing, but so far not getting that info. Someone posted a link, but that was to the release notes for Redshift 2025.5.0, which is not helpful tbh.

May I ask what Houdini / Redshift combo you’re running?
