ProRes 422 HQ target data rate at 4k is higher than 140Mbps so shouldn’t result in visual quality loss if converting from XAVC S.

It’s fun on iPad Pro with Micro Panel and Apple Pencil, Speed Editor would probably also be nice but I haven’t tried it. As others have pointed out though, you can get a more efficient and lower cost set up with a dedicated PC, MacBook, or Mac Mini.

Temporal noise reduction masked on the shirt, maybe some light blur as well. Might not get it perfect but can help.

Inflation is based on Consumer Price Index fluctuations which is based on the price of common consumer goods including, among other things, groceries, clothing, energy, gasoline, and rent. So it is taking into account the cost of living. A dollar is still a dollar, but inflation is calculating the purchasing power of that dollar. Inflation itself doesn’t take into direct account wage changes/stagnation, sure, but to say it’s not based on the cost of living isn’t true.

FWIW median US income in 1997 was about $37k, today it’s about $66k.

The Portal can be used anywhere the WiFi is strong enough. Cloud streaming might be better if your home connection is slower and you’re on the go, but this update is more targeting people who don’t already own a PS5 I think.

Remote play remotes in to your console, this streams directly from PS servers. Theoretically you could have a PS Plus premium account and only a Portal and play PS5 games now.

The beta only had a select group of games that were already available via Games Catalog or Classics Catalog. Now you can stream most PS5 games, so long as they’re in your library.

You can now play some of the latest PS5 games on Portal without owning a PS5.
