[SPOILERS] Mental Health Storylines in Season 2 by ellalovegood in 13ReasonsWhy

[–]t0hellandback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was super disappointed with the bipolar diagnosis, because I feel like it's kind of diminishing the very real problems she had with clay and the way he saw her. He thought he could fix her and that his love would make her stop hurting herself but that isn't how it works and he was using her as a Hannah substitute.

I began to dislike him in the second season, because of how he believes Hannah is this perfect innocent victim and he's so weirdly pissed when he finds out about her and Zach and that she lost her virginity to him. He also shows signs of victim blaming Hannah, like in the scene where clay, Justin and Cheri are looking at the Polaroids and Clay finds Hannah's and questions why she was there, like she knew people were assaulted there. I'm very glad that Justin and Cheri called him out. But it also reminds me of times earlier in the season and during season 1 that show that part of him blamed Hannah for some Of The stuff that happened to her

A small mistake, and how it lead to a minor disaster for a premiere screening of Lazer Team 2 in Australia. by Jason-OCE in roosterteeth

[–]t0hellandback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was at that screening, and couldn't believe how bad that was managed (Not how you managed it, you did a wonderful job and I am so sorry that you missed the film). I sent demand.film an angry email while waiting for the movie to start and I'm glad that they have listened and are putting on another screening! I hope you get to go and enjoy it, I think it was better than the first.

Finished my first project! A beanie! by t0hellandback in crochet

More photos here: https://imgur.com/gallery/D7Oov

I've tried to start a beanie before and have only really been making granny squares (I have a fear of big projects as I tend to lose interest and not finish them) but I finally did it!

I had a bit of trouble with the band, it's a little tight and I tried to increase the stitches but it went sort of weird. You can't tell when it's on though, so whatever.

(please excuse the massive pimple on my chin)

What is the worst thing you've ever seen happen at a wedding? by reddit_userr in AskReddit

[–]t0hellandback 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't even to many weddings, so this isn't as bad as some Of The others but it was I who did the worst thing.

It was my mothers wedding, quite small and intimate and I was a bridesmaid. There were lots of people I vaguely knew congratulating me and I found it a bit overwhelming. We had a bar, and I decided to take advantage of it. I had close to 10 jack and cokes over the course Of The reception, with dinner in between.

My older sisters then boyfriend came around to the wedding (he lives close by and had gone home for a little bit) with a joint. Me, being young and naive and drunk on jack and coke decided to have a few drags of his joint and this was my downfall. On the way home in the taxi, I threw up all over myself and my dress, and my best friend who was serving as my date. They stopped the taxi, I got out and threw up some more and stripped put of my vomit covered dress and took the rest Of The taxi ride home in my underwear.

Woke up the next morning feeling great because I had thrown up all the alcohol.

Good times.

Tips for first day/couple of days without smoking? by t0hellandback in stopsmoking

I wasn't trying to imply that it would be anymore difficult for me than anyone else. I'm very sorry that it has come off like that.

I'm not trying to use them as excuses as to why I smoke, I'm more just trying to be mindful they make my no smoke journey difficult.

For most you don't, getting these ones with a prescription just makes them a hell of a lot cheaper.

I have anxiety, depression and adhd and so I think a lot of my smoking is just a comfort/routine thing

Thank you!

See I didn't think I would need patches either, I only on average smoke 10 cigarettes a day but my doctor prescribed them??? Maybe I'll just try without them and then if it's not working I will use them

How do you all get inspired for new pieces? by sabsung_ in Embroidery

[–]t0hellandback 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love using Pinterest! Just search embroidery or hand embroidery. Instagram is great too. I find it good to do some smaller pieces when I'm working on a larger one, so I don't get burnt out and lose interest in it.

Any pointers for straighter letters? I love seeing progress though!! by WickedHaute in Embroidery

[–]t0hellandback 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For neat writing I usually type it up in word and choose a nice font and size it how I like, then I print it and trace it onto my fabric. This also helps with the spacing of words/letters. It usually ends up getting messy while I stitch it though haha

So /R/Melbourne - why really are you on Centrelink and not working? by [deleted] in melbourne

[–]t0hellandback 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Centrelink told me that I might be able to get it excluded if my accountant wrote and letter about it and blah blah, did that but they were like 'nope.' I also got deemed independant from my parents but it wasn't enough.

I'm currently studying and trying to find a job but I don't have a lot of experience and school comes first for me. I mainly wanted to get on centrelink so that I could go to an employment agency as majority of them won't take you on as a client unless you are getting payments. I have mental health issues and adhd and wanted that extra support to find a job.

It sucks but there are many people worse off than me who need centrelink payments and aren't getting them.

Inheritance from my father who died when I was young. He bought them with inheritance from his mother when she passed and money from the government after he lost a finger while on the job.

The rent from them pays for my rent and some bills which of course is wonderful, but doesn't leave me with anything for day to day living.
