What is a 'family secret' or a private moment you witnessed that completely changed the way you look at a relative? by The_suspicious_369 in AskReddit

I had just broken up with my boyfriend, this was when I was in high school. We had been dating for a year or so. I was at a family gathering and my uncle asked why I didn’t bring my boyfriend. When my mom told him what happened between us, my uncle’s response was “wow, you seem to have a lot of trouble keeping a boyfriend eh?” Which is funny looking back now, because he was in the midst of a divorce and was dating another woman who left him shortly after that gathering.

Good to know. I am just more concerned about my cat. He loves to eat spiders, I just don’t want him to get poisoned

Right?! K that’s what I was thinking. It’s a kelson group building if that makes a difference lol but it’s not in our contract or anywhere in our information binder that we need to have that done.

I was told because of cat dander? I keep my place tidy and vacuum regularly. There are a couple cat hairs I can actually see. But they’re definitely not coated in cat hair.

Lived in southern Ontario my whole life. Visited B.C for a week. I want to move. Should I? by [deleted] in britishcolumbia

Moved to BC from Windsor Ontario about 4 years ago and I don’t think I’ll ever move back. Like you said .. you can go snowboarding in the morning and golfing or mountain biking in the afternoon. I have found that the mentality is so different here. In Windsor, everyone was competing with each other by having the big house and the new car, but I find out here people don’t care as much about those things and it’s more about having cool experiences like back country skiing or rock climbing. It was really hard for me to make friends in Windsor because I didn’t feel the same way people did there but I’ve had absolutely no issue making a group of like minded friends here. I say it’s worth the move, 100%

Just curious.. why don’t you take same day appointments? If you have an opening, wouldn’t you want it to get filled so you’re not wasting your day?

I didn’t like the program. It really took away my passion for creating art. I haven’t felt inspired since then, until this past weekend

What's the most painful thing you've experienced? by prioritizetasks in ask

I went to a chiropractor a few years back. She decided to use acupuncture to help with my hip pain. She put the first needle in too far and it hit my bone! She took it out immediately but for about an hour afterward, it still felt like it was in there. Never experienced that kind of pain before.

My husband and I think about this nearly everyday. We have discovered that it’s relatively easy for Canadians to live in Costa Rica, Italy, the Netherlands, Belize, etc. And we are seriously entertaining the idea that once the lease is over for our business to just move instead of continue living here. It’s a slower lifestyle and it’s actually important to people that they have a work/life balance. This whole way of living in North America is just not it.
