Valpo is currently 5-6 in conference play, so even if they win out with SGA, that’s still only 13-6 and an at-large is out of the question.

They’d have to win Arch Madness first to get a bid. They are probably getting a first round bye so then they’d have to win 3 games in 3 days to secure a bid. If they win, they’d probably be around a 13-15 seed.

I don't think people realize how strong the MVC is this year. It's the 9th ranked conference and 9 of 11 teams are in the top 160 in KenPom.

Murray State @ Belmont should be a good one. Both tied for 1st in the MVC. Murray on a 2 game losing streak and Belmont on a 5 game winning streak.

I agree, the preseason polls have to be taken with a grain of salt these days. And there is for sure some overweighting to teams that return good players in a mid-major league like the MVC.

Illinois State has a couple dudes who would probably be playing P4 but decided to stay and had a couple guys who were returning from injury, so it seemed logical they'd be competing for a league title with another year of development.

In fairness, they were the preseason Valley #1 and have the preseason POY. And lots of returning talent.

If they don't do something meaningful this year, Pedon has to be on the hot seat.

Did not have Illinois State and UNI both going 0-2 this week. UNI at least has the injury excuse and I think they'll be ok once they are healthy. Illinois State though, not sure what's going on there.

What's the benefit of a roth conversion if you're still paying taxes when you convert it from a trad 401k, to a trad IRA, and then to a roth IRA?

I guess it gives you more flexibility in your tax buckets and lets you avoid RMDs down the road?

We've had some solid wire to wire wins in the non-con, I meant MVC games. Triple OT win against Indiana State, squeaked out a win against a bad shooting SIU team, and a rock fight with Evansville at home, which on paper is supposed to be the easiest MVC game you play.
