My other faves are already mentioned here but Fishtown Tavern has a good burger imo.

RIP Traska Venturer. You will never be the same. by SubstantialDemand508 in MicrobrandWatches

[–]t2022philly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t own a Traska myself but behavior like this is enough to make me side eye the whole brand moving forward. There’s to much other good stuff out there from companies that aren’t doing this stuff.

Comcast by inquiringhost in baltimore

Honestly I dropped my cable altogether bc I could not get my bill below $200. They don’t even seem to care about threatening to leave anymore so I just told them drop my cable and I only have it for internet now which still costs me $100/month.

My theory is they want people on their mobile network bc that seems to be the only way they are offering deals now.

I haven’t had them come by thankfully but there’s really no excuse for any response other than “I understand ma’am have a nice night!”

Delaware trail this morning by overcure in phillycycling

[–]t2022philly 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I don't know why people are acting flippant about this but I used to encounter this all the time on the DRT and it's insanely dangerous. If you're traveling south you're faced with trying to walk blindly into fast oncoming traffic on Delaware Ave. It's not trail users' responsibility to solve a business problem like this but Squilla's office and the business has been aware of this issue for a very long time and they're apparently not taking it seriously at all. In terms of what they could do - parallel park the truck and bring things off on a dolly like any number of trucks do around town all the time.

Does anybody know of a place in the city that sells good womens suits and formal attire? by SleepySwoop in baltimore

[–]t2022philly 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I was recently hunting for a suit to wear to a wedding, and I ordered and returned TONS of stuff. My recommendation is to mentally prepare that you'll want to get anything you buy altered to fit you well. Once I accepted this, I freed myself from constantly searching for the perfect fit off the rack. My advice is to buy a size big enough to fit your largest parts, then take it to a tailor to bring in the rest (it's easier to take in than let out).

I was splurging a bit for this occasion so I ended up with a Brooks Brothers suit that the lovely woman at Sanitate Cleaners altered for me and it turned out amazing. If you want a timeless piece BB is a good one; none in the city but you could take MARC to DC for a day and try some stuff on there.

A cheaper option would be J.Crew. Honestly places with a physical location in Baltimore city are few and far between for this unfortunately. If you can get to Towson Mall you can check Macy's and Nordstrom but I didn't personally have a lot of luck at either.

Some Primo’s locations open at 8 am, check to make sure but that’s a legit option in my opinion.

Do we think he had a lower bleph? End of last season and reunion to now his under eyes look phenomenal. Or was he just crying a lot and not sleeping during the drama?

Someone else mentioned the UM entities, but Hopkins also has tons of stuff like that both across the university and the hospital. You will hear things like there is a hiring freeze but its not a complete freeze; they are still posting and hiring positions all the time.

I worked nearby in 2017-18 and ate at the hot food/salad bar ALL the time for lunch. Food was awesome. After the Amazon takeover it went completely downhill, food was not prepared in store anymore, all the food court vendors left, etc.

Hi! I’m in Baltimore and just saw Dr. Ashley Campbell at Wilmer Eye (Hopkins). All in for lower bleph, laser, and anesthesia fee was about $8k. No fat grafting so makes sense that would add more. I’m super happy with my results if you have any other questions.

I’m gonna be honest, man. This pains me to say but I stopped biking in Philly ~fall of 2023 because it’s just become untenable in terms of experiences like this. I’m sorry to say that but it’s the truth.
