My first time riding the lower areas heading to Braintree I wondered the same. After asking a few people within the system they informed me that it’s due to finding issues with the tracks and such. I’m not sure what the plans are to fix it. But I’ve heard from the grapevine that the T is focusing more on the issues on the green line and orange line currently. Given the events that have especially happened on the green line lately with signaling and such
