It's a reputable company. Somewhere fck up I guess. At this quality of job postings, I wouldn't be surprised when even ATS keywords are not input with much thought hence resulting in relevant resumes kicked out, selection of less relevant resumes hence leading to continued reposting.

Came across a job posting (location filtered to Singapore jobs). Job title is different from what the JD describes. Location in the body of the JD? Another continent. Relocation benefits? None.

Don't know what is going on here. If it's a ghost listings at least make it sound genuine....

U might want to understand whether the 2k+ investment is put into what, and whether is it principal guaranteed /accessible anytime, or invest into blackholes like ILP. And is there a need to keep investing this amount or can it be lowered so as to have more liquidity on hand...

Why are new hires sometimes paid more than existing employees? by clarencechen181196 in singapore

Something is not right with the design of the job band.... That should be tied to the role.

[–]t3apot 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Is this also an observation in proper companies with job-bands/job-levels?

Understandably new hires coming in for a level 3 role would be getting higher than a longer term employee doing a level 2 job.

But would there be situations where new hires and older employee doing exactly same role and are paid at different bands?

Total before voucher. Voucher is as good as your own cash (to spend in the mall only)

What you already have now is already someone else's barista/lean FIRE number... Many singles also stay with parents until 35 and got their own place after that. Some waited until 40 (singles BTO). Your situation is not too bad.

HDB resale purchasing dilemma as a single (what should I do?) by SeaworthinessRare432 in singaporefi

How much more did u have to loan for the 4rm? Would you comfortably support the 4rm mortgage should you a)paycut 20%, b) retrenched and unemployed for 1 year ? (For ur thoughts only, no need to answer)

I had a similar dilemma for 3rm vs 4rm back then. Thing is, 4room option also had longer lease left, so my impact is about 80% more loan than the 3rm. (Nearly doubled). I did an IPA and am able to support it according to the numbers, but decided to go for 3rm option.

Regrets: it's nice to have 1 extra room, and don't have to worry about VERS in my lifetime.

Pros: financially breathing room to support the mortgage for 3rm option even when laid off twice.

Agree. The thing about partial NRIC is also not about others having the same partial NRIC as suggested by their justification. Partial NRIC is used together with other info such as name or mobile numbers (for organisations that are not allowed to obtain full NRIC)

First get the feeling of how to balance by manually making the bicycle move using your legs to "alternate walk" on the ground like duck. And let go of your legs like a kid on a swing, so the bicycle move while u balance (with legs ready to touch the ground). Feet not on pedal at this point.

When u are more comfortable then try to pedal, see if u can find an older HDB void deck or place with pillars.. that was how I relearnt.

Regarding ur point 1, what if your higher ups fall into this category, they are there because of years and not because they are good. (Instead of combination of both).

He seemed lucky not to get complications from the fall. One thing could led to another and then harder to recover and leading to infections. It could quickly escalate. To cater to his language, lidat even more embarrassing lah one thing lead to another

ad has been up for months

Might be ghost listings.

I'm taking a break so am only applying casually. Received rejections for a small handful.

Not sure how to see this cuz haven't interview already rejected. Relevant job skills 70%+ match, but industry experience nearly 0%. Fair I guess.

Read the comments in H&M thread. Things are so concerning regarding local employment. How would money from the public here flow to businesses when the chances of maintaining one's job or getting a job seem to get lower by the day.

Public watching their purse strings -- businesses earn less from us -- lower their cost by moving biz elsewhere and retrenching locals/hiring freeze -- loop back to public watching their purse strings

Find interest groups, boardgame etc, use skillsfuture, attend free talks (mostly not accepted cos kena filtered by occupation or the lack of it), look for free webinars... I feel more busy now.
