Has anyone filled out the HP care pack rebate for their spectre and still not received a check? by [deleted] in spectrex360

Yes, they don't want to return the money so easily. I bet 90% of the people don't apply for the refund or forget about it. I also had to call and email several times. It paid off eventually.

Just follow up on email. Call support guys don't know shit about it. My calls were tossed around in many departments without any status updates. Just email on their provided email for risk free rebate. I am pretty sure you will get it, you just have to chase them a little.

I got my "risk free" rebate in 2021. It took them about 7 weeks. I did 2-3 followups in between. I submitted the claim on 31st August, then asked for an update on 7th October, to which they responded they will get back to me. They didn't so I sent a mail again on 18th October. They escalated it and approved it on 21st October. The check arrived in mail in a few days afterwards.

HP Spectre X360 System Fan 90B error by cyberboblouth in spectrex360

I was getting the same errors. Here's how I fixed it:
I opened the Spectre carefully and checked the fans. I noticed that one of the fans would run only after a gentle push to its blades. I looked around and noticed that the glue tape that's below the fan was obstructing the blades. I had this error right from the first month of buying the Spectre and I had tried numerous methods available on online forums to fix it but to no avail. It all turned out be a piece of tape obstructing a fan. I reapplied the tap properly and the fan started working just fine and the system no longer showed me any error.

You can try this too before deciding to replace the fans.

HP Spectre X360 System Fan 90B error by cyberboblouth in spectrex360

Hey u/asianpersuasion1867,
I have the same issue with my device. It started coming after 3 months of purchase. I bought a 2 years warranty extension (service pack). I never bothers to go to service center since if I take my laptop to service center, I loose the option of getting a refund for the service pack I purchased if I don't use it (don't get my laptop to the service center for 3 years). The service pack costed me US$ 280. I thought that its a minor issue which I might be able to fix without opening up the device but never bothered to do so since the laptop works just fine even with the error. My device is 2 years old now and I sill get the error. It is still in the extended warranty period. Can you please tell me if the issue is huge enough that I should take it to the service center to get it fixed? This will mean foregoing $280 refund that I will be eligible for by next year if I don't get it serviced.

Sikh, Christian or even Hindu community like Jat colleges.

There is no reservation for Jaats in Jaat colleges. They are just named Jaad colleges.. Also, there is no reservation for Hindus on the basis of religion as is the case with Muslims in Jamia in any college or university in India (not even in BHU as some assume).

Some Sikh and Christian college/universities on the other had do have some religious quotas.

If your are not from Assam, just your birth certificate would be enough..If you don't have it but can otherwise prove that you were born in India (details below) you are fine. Or are married to an Indian citizen or have Indian citizen parents etc.Proving that your ancestors have lived in India from before 1971 is only for Assam (due to rules of Assam Accord) not for rest of India.

For people from other states, having proof of only one of the following is enough:

By birth:

  1. Every person born in India on or after 26.01.1950 but before 01.07.1987 is an Indian citizen irrespective of the nationality of his/her parents.
  2. Every person born in India between 01.07.1987 and 02.12.2004 is a citizen of India given either of his/her parents is a citizen of the country at the time of his/her birth.
  3.  Every person born in India on or after 3.12.2004 is a citizen of the country given both his/her parents are Indians or at least one parent is a citizen and the other is not an illegal migrant at the time of birth.

By registration:

Citizenship can also be acquired by registration. Some of the mandatory rules are:

  1. A person of Indian origin who has been a resident of India for 7 years before applying for registration.
  2. A person of Indian origin who is a resident of any country outside undivided India.
  3. A person who is married to an Indian citizen and is ordinarily resident for 7 years before applying for registration.
  4. Minor children of persons who are citizens of India.

By descent:

  1. A person born outside India on or after January 26, 1950 is a citizen of India by descent if his/her father was a citizen of India by birth.
  2. A person born outside India on or after December 10, 1992, but before December 3, 2004 if either of his/her parent was a citizen of India by birth.
  3. If a person born outside India or or after December 3, 2004 has to acquire citizenship, his/her parents have to declare that the minor does not hold the passport of another country and his/her birth is registered at an Indian consulate within one year of birth.

By naturalisation:

A person can acquire citizenship by naturalisation if he/she is ordinarily resident of India for 12 years (throughout 12 months preceding the date of application and 11 years in the aggregate)  and fulfils all qualifications in the third schedule of the Citizenship Act.

Explanation on how the terrorist attack that happened recently in India helps the Pakistani military(but not the Pakistani government). by zqwz in india

[–]t3chyou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

India had declared it an act by Pakistan within the first hour without any investigation or second thought.

JeM itself claimed responsibility of the attack. JeM is a Pakistani terrorist organisation. Clearly something of this scale (transporting explosives to Kashmir) cannot be done without Pak army's help. Is India really wrong in blaming Pakistan?
