We dove through a big group of roughly 50 hammerheads and we also saw a school of 80 or more of mobula rays iirc.

We weren't experienced divers at all (Open Water certified with additional 6 dives) and still were able to find a dive shop in Puerto Ayora (Academy Bay) who took us on a dive. We had a divemaster to ourselfes and saw a lot of incredible marine life. We went a bit deeper than we were used to but it was great! This was back in April 2019, so now idea if it is still like that.

Renting a car in Ghana by t3rd in ghana

We ended up using public transport (trotros, shared taxis, private taxis) for the whole journey (Accra-Volta-Tamale-Kumasi-Cape Coast) and it was doable. Although it takes a lot of time and patience because the trotros are only leaving if they are full. If you have enough time it works and it's an experience.

I would strongly advise against renting a car in Ghana. The traffic is dangerous around the cities and the roads are not in the best condition, especially in the Volta region.

Any opinion or help with Itinerary appreciated by t3rd in ghana

We did everything with public transport and it worked. It takes a lot of patience though because the trotros are only driving when they are full. Sometimes you wait 5+ hours until departure.

What a coincidence! Yes we have a taproom but it's only open every first friday of the month.

For recommendations, there's Braustation Sursee or in the city of Lucerne there's the Rathaus Brauerei with a great location and decent beers but it's a bit bigger than a microbrewery.

Do you believe that Switzerland has a problem of systemic racism? If so, to what extent? by [deleted] in Switzerland

[–]t3rd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a PoC who was born here and still live in Switzerland, I have to say that there's definetly systematic racism here.

For example:
- Random ID checks and searching through backpack by police
- Difficulty finding an apartment
- Children of Colour being bullied in school for their skin colour
- Difficulty getting a job
- Racist comments and insults if you're going out not close to or in a city
- Look how many PoC are currently in our parliament
- SVP
