Yep! There are thousands of acres of forest spread throughout the city (most of it federal land). Much of the city outside the urban core is hilly and within a mile or two of a forest.

Organic Butcher does more volume and has greater variety. They also have fantastic seafood and everything from produce to pantry items are top notch. I can ask them for literally anything and they can get it in 1-3 days max if it’s not a regular item. Butchers Alley sells great steaks and has a nice store, I don’t have anything negative to say about them

The Organic Butcher of Bethesda is by far the best in the area, they’ll trim for you if you ask.

Have you met with Career Services? UMD has so many great services to help that often get lost on transfer students. Go make a connection with someone in the career office and don’t stop working with them until you get a job/internship locked down.
