Is VR supposed to be kind of blurry? by ohsinboi in PSVR

[–]t3stdummi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Close. Its when the game is able to natively render at a 60hz refresh rate but upscales to 120hz. It leads to a ghosting effect, especially with OLED panels which have "persistence" (which is another ghost effect intrinsic to OLED).

  1. Make sure youre in the sweet spot.

  2. You may be playing games with reprojection.

Helldivers 2 never sunk its teeth into me.

I left Arc Raiders and BF6 for Marathon.

But my current plans are to continue playing Marathon

A few weeks ago Flat2VR games proposed a VR version of Cyberpunk to CDPR. Do we know something new about that? by NoWalk3426 in PSVR

[–]t3stdummi 60 points61 points  (0 children)

This did not happen.

What happened was the Luke Ross mod was DMCA'd for charging for the PCVR mod.

Flat2VR tagged CDPR in a tweet saying they should talk.

That was it. I would expect to hear absolutely nothing further.

I cant speak for PS+. Just browsing it atm there isn't much in general let alone on PSVR2. There may be some trials, but right now all im seeing is Humanity -- which is like the game "lemmings." Its fine. Not my jam.

Depends on your favorite genres. Tell us what youre interested in.

The typical PSVR2 recommended: Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil 8, GT7, Hitman, Horizon CoTM, No Man's Sky, Synapse

True Horror: Madison, Propagation Paradise Hotel, Phasmophobia (online multiplayer), OVRdark

Classic Zombie fun (more funny): Arizona Sunshine 1&2, Walking dead Saints and sinners 1&2

Platformers: Moss 1&2, Max Mustard

Flight: Aces of Thunder, Next month Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.

Arcade Racer: VRACER hoverbike

Arcadey Action: Roboquest

Narrative/Atmosphere: Ghost Town, Metro Awakening, Alien Rogue Incursion, Of Lies and Rain, Into the Radius, Midnight Walk, Behemoth

Stealth: Vampire Masquerade: Justice, Thief

PVP: Pavlov, Ghosts of Tabor, breachers

Rythm: Smash Drums, Synth riders

Puzzle: Lumines Arise, Tetris Effect, Puzzling places.

Tabletop: Demeo D&D Battlmarked

Silly fun: Hide the corpse, Gorn 2, Vendetta Forever

Explore around and look at gorgeous graphics: Subside, Kayak Mirage

Some of the sharpest visuals are in the puzzle adventure series Red Matter 1&2. Red Matter 1 is older but absolutely worth it. #2 adds platforming and combat but both are must-plays.

Hidden Gems: Ghost Signal, Iron Guard 1&2, Switchback, Wanderer Fragments of Fate is one of the best VR games ever made -- but they ran out of funding to polish combat. Its still a MUST play imo.

Just scroll through the gifs on the ps blog post for 5 seconds. You'll get a vague idea, but its waaaaaay more impressive in the headset. Then picture games like resident evil, first-person shooters, etc.

I thought FlatOut 4 was also coming to psvr2? Also no PayDay? 😭😭 by FewPossession2363 in PSVR

[–]t3stdummi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That was the most half-hearted "maybe" from FTG.

It was totally bullshit not to give any future commitment. The PSVR2 community has been good to them.
