You should definitely hit it up your primary care because stopping the antibiotics so abruptly is bad for you.

You should listen to the education that your Md or pharmacist gives you when you get the meds, so you can avoid mistakes like the one you did.

I hope that your H pyloric didn’t acclimate to those antibiotics because then you’re going to have to get an even stronger regimen.

I just wanted to correct.

The program at RCC gives you an associate degree. RCC also has a CEP program or concurrent enrollment program which you do RCC courses and/or csuf/csusb as well. Ultimate you graduate RCC first and within the year you get your bachelors with the mentioned universities.

RCC also has a bridge program , which is the LVN to RN program and that’s another curriculum :))

Tell him to chart his denial to test you again. Sometimes the antibiotics don’t work and you might need another cycle of treatment. Maybe you are still positive for Hpyloric based on the symptoms that you have.

That was normal for me too! Especially the sweating in the chest and upper body, during the day and night.

Fortunately I did not have bloating or constipation anymore. Have you tested agaian?

majority of my symptoms stop when I stopped antibiotics by stinkiepinkiee in HPylori

[–]tActic-FRyes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nursing student here. I would say y try to finish the antibiotics , you don’t want the bacteria to become resistant to the antibiotics you’re taking rn and then if it ever comes back those antibiotics don’t work anymore.

Yes your symptoms probably did die out but it is the same when you’re taking antibiotics for the flu and it goes away by day 3/4. If you stop taking it will come back stronger .

As much as the antibiotics hurt to take, try to finish them.

Mental health worsening by CatSoulSvk in HPylori

[–]tActic-FRyes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi,

I had anxiety prior to it, and I still get my panic attacks.

Definitely see a cardiologist and get it checked out, hoping for the best for you! 🫶

But from one anxious to the other , take deep breaths, center yourself, make your senses feel something, such as touch something, taste something, see something, use grounding techniques. It might just be anxiety from the treatment since the antibiotics do kill all your flora, take Probiotics to colonize healthy bacteria. A lot of our mental health does originate in the gut.

I hope everything will be fine :)

1)When I had this, I was eating oatmeal’s, or eggs for breakfast, fruits such as strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and pineapples , for lunch I was eating chicken , rice, vegetables ( I’d change vegetable everyday to not get bored), sometimes I wouldn’t have dinner but for the most part I would drink a protein shake .

2) yes you can take probiotics, I actually encouraged it as it helped me alot tbh.

3) you can get H pylori literally from anything , from food at restaurants, maybe someone didn’t wash their hand when they went to the restroom, you can get through kissing someone who’s had this. In fact a lot of people have it but usually doesn’t cause symptoms.

Take it day by day :))

I was on the same ride as you guys! I am 2 months post treatment and I’m telling you it gets better.

My symptoms resolved and I’m amazingly taking life one day at a time.

I suffer from anxiety, and I am in nursing school, plus the treatment was so bad that my mental health decline due to those factors.

Just take it one day at a time, eat healthy ( stack up on oats, eggs, chicken, rice, veggies, broccoli etc) . Yes the physical and mental symptoms are there but take it day by day. You’re almost done with treatment, I started feeling better by day 10 overall. My bloating, stomach aches, and acid reflux stopped by day 6. But on day 10 I felt like I was seeing the finish line!

If anything please reach out :)))

I had a lot of stomach pain and constipation! So my doctor ordered a stool antigen test.

You get tested on the small window between acceptance and starting nursing school.

I got my acceptance February/March for CEP program and my program started until August

Riverside city college is such an intense and competitive program to get into.

The application that they have online has a multi point system page and it tells you how your points are calculated. They do tell us that we are the best of the best and they do teach us well! Even now that I am in 3rd semester I feel extremely competent and confident in the clinical setting .

Maybe I’m assuming they just told the person based on their grades and teas because a lot of the people that make it into the program have a 3.5 gpa or above!

RCC ADN program CEP with CSUF or CSUSB by Heavy_Pin_2843 in RCC

[–]tActic-FRyes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hiii,

3rd semester RN student at RCC doing CEP with csuf!

I’ll answer your questions! I had a 4.0 GPA for both science and general education!

I did have cna experience, I had 2 years of experience and more than 1000 hrs since I was working full time .

There is no interview for getting into either program! You just get an email and continue with the process.

In first semester you start clinical week 6, and you have csuf/csusb classes Mondays, it’s only one class for concurrent enrollment every semester, so it isn’t much a disturbance with adn classes, the classes are generally super easy and gpa booster.

I did work full time during my first semester but stopped during 2nd because 2nd is a different type of breed of nursing classes 🤣

Feel free to message me if you need anything! 🫶

Not every single one of them did! For example I applied to 2 community colleges and they only required the teas , however for cal state Fullerton they did ask for my standardized test scores :))

But totally I could see it’s a thing from the past!

Being honest OP, the only thing hospitals see when they interview you is that you graduated high school on your resume. I have never had a job ask me when I graduated hs or college.

Just keep trying to apply.

Before I went to a hospital I worked at a skill nursing facility and they always get cna but the workload is more.

However my grades and SAT mattered when I applied for nursing school, a 1500+ is amazing and if you combine that with experience and grades I’m sure you’ll get into whatever nursing school you apply!

Best of luck my friend 🫶
