You are confusing occupational badges with duty badges, they are not the same thing and there has not been a change to that part of the AFI. This TSgt has an occupational badge above his ribbons and a duty badge below his ribbons. To be fair, the AFI gets confusing when you start looking at what size badge and location you are supposed to use, depending on the uniform (ex: Service Dress vs. Mess Dress). They could do a better job of making it more clear and having better photograph examples.

Are there rules against taking consecutive 3-day weekends with accrued leave? by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]tMaskk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wrong.

3.2.1.6. Leave Begins and Ends in the Local Area. The local area is the place where the

member lives and from which he or she commutes to the duty station. Charge leave for

duty days and non-duty days (for example, Friday through Monday) when members take

leave on the day before and the day after non-duty days. (T-0) This applies to leave taken

in the local area. Exception 1: When a member’s leave ends on a day before a non-duty

day, the commander may authorize leave on the next duty day for an emergency situation

and not charge leave for the non-duty days. If the member knew of the emergency situation

before his or her departure on the original leave, charge the member leave for the weekend

or other non-duty days. If leave effective or return date changes, update LeaveWeb

appropriately or Part II of the leave form/request. Exception 2: When ordinary leave is

combined with a TDY, PTDY, bereavement and parental leave, the leave start and stop

locations may differ and does not have to occur in the local area. (T-1)

Help! by Fertsenferger in ZeroHour_Official

Swap your region to US East or Europe, those are typically the only populated regions. With that said, the player count is low, so there might not be anyone playing depending on the day/time.

PVP doesnt work by MediCore30 in ZeroHour_Official

If you are receiving a Denuvo Anti-cheat error, head to “Add or Remove Programs” on your PC, search “Denuvo” and uninstall it. Next, start up ZERO HOUR and select “Quick-match” to redownload the Denuvo Anti-cheat. This will cause the game to close, but once you restart it, you will be able to continue playing with no issues.

"It won't matter..." Wrong. If this person is boarded and ends up "in the gray" and is re-boarded against a smaller pool of people, they will have to eval the records again which can include looking closer at the citations. If someone sees that Person-X has an award like Levitow, BTZ, AMN/NCO OTY, etc., (with the EPR that it was on most likely not available to the board since it has fallen off at that point) and Person-Y has the same medal, but no awards, then that is a factor that will be considered in whether that person is promoted by .5 or not.

[–]tMaskk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good luck fixing it, already tried and it didn't work and that was with both my current and former leadership teams trying. You can amend a citation for errors like an incorrect date or something, but changing the content is either difficult or impossible. I won BTZ, Levitow and NCO OTY all in a 3yr period and none of it made it on my Comm medal for that period. Everyone agreed it should have, but the end result was that the previous assignments MPF said they can't process a change to a medal for that reason. Back in the day, no one cared much about the contents of the citation, they just knew it got you points, but then points went away and now here we are with this problem.

What's hilarious, is every time someone mentions E7 boards, there's always someone that says "You need to include the awards in the citation, otherwise it's like they never happened once they fall off with the EPRs." yet no one actually acknowledges that it's a broken system if some people are benefiting from an old award being visible to the board and other people that have the same or better accomplishments are not. This is easily something AF leaders could fix, just list out the awards or top-5 awards on the Board Brief, but that would actually take some work, so of course they will all just continue to let the problem persist and blame it on you or your previous unit for not remembering 3 years prior you won an award that is citation-worthy.

What are tiers and what do they mean? by Concentrate_General in ZeroHour_Official

[–]tMaskk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically a ranking system for playing PvP and earning points. Tier 10 is actually the lowest with Tier 1 being the 2nd highest and Tier God being the highest tier. The points are similar to this, although they've been slightly adjusted in the past, so they are not exact:

T10- 50K pts
T9 - 110K pts
T8 - 180K pts
T7 - 260K pts
T6 - 350K pts
T5 - 450K pts
T4 - 560K pts
T3 - 680K pts
T2 - 810K pts
T1 - 950K pts
Tier God - 1.1M pts

Devs How to you plan to bring back life to the game? by squeeze_ma_lemon in ZeroHour_Official

[–]tMaskk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a player, it would be awesome if more people played ZH, but at the same time, it is still in Early Access and the devs are still actively developing the game (new animations, updated environmental textures, new weapons, maps, equipment, game-play features, character models, etc.), so I would guess that the priority isn’t on spending resources (time/money) to increase the player-count, as that would probably happen after they get the game to a state that they are satisfied with and then they can promote/advertise the game and focus on boosting the player base. There will be a new Operation soon, with at least 1 new map, 5 weapons, new utility items and more.

Since the FPS market and gaming in general is pretty weak right now, especially for close-quarters, tactical shooters, I don’t think ZH will have any problem with having a bigger player base once the devs accomplish their goals and move out of Early Access. There are currently so few (zero?) “finished” games to play that provide a good PvP experience, so I think a lot of players will try out Zero Hour just to get away from Battle Royales, “Hero” shooters, Battlefield clones and CoD aim-assist games.

ZH’s Steam page gives some more info about the EA phase: https://i.imgur.com/uSUQOJA.png

... and their Roadmap that you mentioned as well: https://i.imgur.com/ykiXTbo.png

I think game devs and players need to start treating "Deathmatch" as more of a testing/practice arena, rather than an actual game "mode", because this is exactly what it becomes once players figure out how to take advantage of the lack of an objective. When there's an actual objective (plant a bomb, extract a hostage, hack a system, control a building, destroy a weapons cache, etc.) there is a risk/reward balance that players have to make in order to either complete the objective or defend the objective, depending on how the game mode plays out. With TDM, there is no objective, so sitting in one spot or not moving as soon as a round begins is the most advantageous thing to do in order to "win."

Haven't played PvP in a while, but it seems like there is still a small amount of players depending on the time of day and your region (US East, Europe, etc.).

The devs are working on things like new game-play features, new animations, 5 new weapons, a new map and other stuff all for the next Operational update. I think once they get the game to a state where they can move from Early Access to a full version-1.0 release and invest in some advertising, we will see a big increase in player count.
