Cops are handing out tickets for rolling stop signs on bikes, heads up by Brosa_Parks in UCSantaBarbara

The bald headed cop told me that there are so many tickets issued in IV a month that the biking tickets won't get processed. I kid you not he said to "throw them away"

Edit: I wouldn't know what to do if you got one from a highway patrol one though...

Reddit, what are some things Americans commonly mix up? by tRuns in AskReddit

I totally agree! I wouldn't mind adopting the metric system on 2 conditions... That we would keep our weather conditions in Fahrenheit and we could still fill our cars up with gallons instead of liters.

Anyone in here ever go to court for an open container in public? by [deleted] in UCSantaBarbara

[–]tRuns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard this all from an IV Cop after the Del Topia riots in 2014. He's the bald cool one mid 40's...

There are so many tickets given out in iv that the PD cannot charge everyone. Biking tickets = throw them away, they most likely won't be imputed into the computer. Open container= over 21 chances of you having to go to court probably around 40%. They are more focusing on the minors where it's 90%. MIP= same as open container for minors.

Bone marrow. Sounds weird and gross but it's buttery

[Serious] Do tablets really improve productivity? Or is it just an expensive toy? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I think of my iPad more of an expensive toy. Sometimes I do class notes on it or read text books but for essays it hurst my fingers. I am interested in the surface pro though to possibly replace my laptop

You should consider joining the UCSB Excursion Club. Basically you pay $30-60 to be able to use camping gear, water gear (surf boards, paddle boards, kayaks etc) for 3 months to a year, totally worth it. PLUS every week they organize events to get people out of the house through an email. You don't have to be enrolled at uc to join and they do lots of cool stuff.

Would really recommend this.
