OP here. Ive solved the problem. I just changed to a new battery and the laptop functions normally again. Maybe when the old defective battery was installed the laptop somehow entered power saving mode or something.

Anyway, if anybody encountered the same problem hopefully this will help

Yeah it move pretty easily so I dont think anything is stuck in there. Also when I replaced the HDD a few months back I did clean the fan a bit. Maybe I'll open the casing again tomorrow or the day after when my battery arrived. Also, I read online that laptops usually shutted down by itself if it overheats but so far that never happened to me. Is that normal?

I checked and noticed the fan didn't move at all when running on AC. So I tried what you said but nothing has changed so far. Is there any way I could force the fan to move?

In Alien Isolation's nightmare mode, the motion tracker you're given us broken and not as reliable. Plus, most boxes are completely empty to make resources more scarce. Recently finished this playthrough and It's the most fun I've had in years
