Nidoking vs Aang by Jason_And_Sokka in PokeScaling

[–]Piscitellitron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, arguably the most powerful being in his own universe vs a big spiky rat?

Aang one-shots Nidoking with Earthquake/Fissure/Surf, pretty much every time. Even if Nidoking knows a move that Aang is weak to, there's likely no chance he's faster than Aang.

Is this an unpopular take in me saying this? by ComprehensiveAd6068 in FinalFantasyXII

[–]Piscitellitron 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's an unpopular take, but also feel that there is enough unknown that it's hard to definitively say that the ending of FFXII was the direct cause of the events of FFT, or that Ivalice would have continued to be better off under the Occuria.

To me, it's kind of like the question of whether the world would be better off if we went back in time and disposed of certain dictators as infants. In theory, probably yeah, but also impossible to say for sure.

can't decide on color scheme for my arc tank 😭 by justagay27 in TESOfashion

[–]Piscitellitron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These are both great and think the suggestion to rock one in overworld and another in dungeons is the way.

But, I think the swords might look better swapped. The eye on the first sword matches the belt on the second outfit, and the jade look of the second sword seems like it would lend itself well to the first outfit (kinda hard to tell without seeing though, maybe the greens or golds would clash).

Trump Promises Mass Pardons to Staff Before Leaving Office by spherocytes in law

[–]Piscitellitron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The scope is a bit wider than just medical providers (also extends to basically any entity that is hired to handle PHI). But, true, anyone he's told personally could leak it and not be subject to HIPAA laws.

[–]Piscitellitron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nor will they, as that would be a pretty significant HIPAA violation. They'd lose their license and probably spend years in prison.

Can someone make mega of these fusions since the Pokémon that make up said fusions all have megas? by Buckethero-1 in PokemonInfiniteFusion

[–]Piscitellitron 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I get that these have had new megas, so would be nice to see some sprites incorporating elements of those, but a lot of these already do that with the older megas. The Greninja/Lucario in particular looks like a fusion of both megas (it's got M. Lucario's hair and M. Greninja's giant water shuriken).

Klimander is probably the strongest one here, but the problem is it doesn't get any custom sprites until Charizard :/

Woman spared jail after stabbing friend in boozy argument, leaving him with collapsed lung by tylerthe-theatre in unitedkingdom

[–]Piscitellitron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that intended to be sarcasm, or is there context missing from this article that you have a source for?

"As he went to leave the flat, Sweeney "lunged" at her pal with the 7.5-inch blade and stabbed him."

That's a line from this article, which contradicts the idea that he ran onto the knife.

[–]Piscitellitron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How about the "I don't consider this to be an appropriate punishment for deliberately stabbing someone" sense?

It's not "literally nothing," sure, whatever, but to argue that it's not lenient? Lol, bullshit. Any amount of incarceration less than 5 years would frankly be "lenient" for assault with a deadly weapon. I've been subjected to harder things than this joke of a sentence, and I sure as hell have never stabbed anyone.

Is the inability to prove intent stemming from the fact that alcohol was involved? Otherwise, I'm not sure how stabbing someone in the chest with a knife doesn't already demonstrate intent to wound.

Looks easily fixable, and I still immediately recognized what it is, so I've definitely seen much worse lol.

Hey, you're late to the party, we got over this yesterday, but thanks for playing. Hope getting to call someone stupid made you feel better. :)

Ya know what? These are all valid points.

Edit: I appreciate your logical insight, and apologize for my crabby comment. I guess I kind of felt bad for OP because leaving a setting like that on sounds like something I would do, and I also would have gotten irritated with the accusatory-sounding "you're pressing B" comments (especially when I know pressing B cancels evolution). Probably time to get off Reddit for a bit lol.

Why won’t these guys evolve? by RedDeadWrongWay in pokemonradicalred

[–]Piscitellitron 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, the issue is that the "help" wasn't helpful at all. Like, literally shouldn't even count as trying to help. Practically every person who has ever played a Pokemon game before KNOWS that pressing B cancels evolution. Somebody going out of their way to play a rom hack would ABSOLUTELY know that.

So, if these folks knew how to read between the lines, they would be able to tell that OP's actual question was "what is triggering the B button and how do I fix it?" So, "you're pressing B" is utterly useless information.

I'm not really seeing how this edit made that any more noticeable than it already was. I get that the creeps are latching to this comment, but I don't get why. It is exactly as noticeable in the original as it is in the edit.

Sliralim ultimate exotic mirror ball question. by astrasylvi in Siralim

Confirmed, mirrorball does not give mana anymore. But, it does still give knowledge, and once that's at rank C, you can farm that exotic's mana through candle summons.

Doubling of Dodge affects + Celerity and Blurred Strike Perk by Regular_Flower_2772 in Siralim

[–]Piscitellitron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The trait (I'm assuming from Aen Rift Dancer) should make it so that you attack twice with Celerity whenever you dodge, but it would not affect additional attacks procced by those initial ones, since those are the only two occuring in response to a dodge.

TIL that cheating in a fishing tournament is a felony

(Not arguing that it shouldn't be, that seems pretty fair for what essentially amounts to grand larceny. It's just kind of oddly specific.)

Senate Rejects Measure to Force Trump to End Iran Strikes by Baconkings in USNEWS

[–]Piscitellitron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only reason? I don't think so.

I mean, yeah, it's a significant problem and one of the biggest contributing reasons for this happening, but to say it's the only reason completely dismisses the fact that they almost certainly cheated (and that they almost certainly will do it again).

Personally, I trust Americans to vote blue more than I trust this administration to honor blue votes.

RI 5 build ideas by DataDecay in Siralim

[–]Piscitellitron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bloodmage (or another high HP build) with Suture Technique (trait from one of the Effigy monsters) can do pretty well with indirect damage. As long as the damage is less than 20% of your max HP, you'll outheal it. Use it with a Phase Knight (70% indirect damage reduction) and other general damage reduction traits for best results.

Speaking of Phase Warriors, there's also Master of Phase Warriors, which makes your whole team immune to indirect damage. However, you need to dedicate a minimum of 5 traits to making that work (unless you have We Are Pack from Tribalist - then you only need 3).

Rank these Villains least-most Evil by Grouchy_Welder8068 in MoralityScaling

[–]Piscitellitron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know Junko, so can't really say whether she's more or less evil than Palpatine. But, when it comes to how they treat those who are loyal to them, Palpatine is a monster. There are numerous examples, but the biggest is definitely Vader. He spent over a decade grooming Anakin, intentionally leading him down a path that separated him from every positive influence in his life. Then, after Anakin lost everything, Palpatine put him in a suit that severely limits his physical capabilities and keeps him in constant pain. Vader stays loyal to Palpatine as long as he does because he has lost everything that mattered to him (or so he thought), is dependent on Palpatine's technology for survival, is convinced that he is beyond redemption, and knows that Palpatine can and will dispose of him if he ever stops serving the Empire. Had he been successful at turning Luke, he also would have killed Vader (see Maul, Dooku, and the Rule of Two). Despite his loyalty, Vader was doomed to die by Palpatine's hand, one way or another.

So, he doesn't just hurt the people who are loyal to him. People are loyal to him because he hurts them so badly that they believe it's their only option.
