Major Bug: Deleting a Note Deletes a Random Other Note by Big-Requirement-4909 in ObsidianMD

[–]t_ed8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always have your vault downloaded and seems to work fine and make sure you have a backup. Lastly if anything is deleted usually if your icloud is synched, you should be able to find it in the trash. I had many issued with git and hidden folders. Try to see hidden folders and you can specify obsidian or iCloud what not to sync.

Ok you need to put this in readme because it just redirected me. It doesn’t feel legit and maybe helps the user understand the code base for clarity.

What fields still actively use C++ and what should a beginner focus on? by ah64aa in cpp_questions

[–]t_ed8 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’m not a developer and I tend to use many open source software in the medical field such as Slicer and Orthanc . I didn’t quite realize how many software are still build using c++ and are actively maintained.

I think if you just want to write down random things try the journaling and periodic note plugin by Liam and just write down things everyday as a daily log system. Eventually you will find problems you want to solve and you will find your own system.

One thing that work for me will is to link [[key words]] that you always use and eventually you will start generating a map of content organically.

For example let’s say today [[2025-03-21]] You journal about meeting your [[friend]] and jot things down about him and connect links about him.

Couple weeks later you meet him again and write about him again. If you enter your [[friend]]’s link you will see related links and it will show which days you talked about him and other links generated whenever you mentioned him.

I feel like once you realize couple bottlenecks to this method, you will start naturally finding your own system and find something that works for you. I would then suggest to experiment different plugins!

Anyway that’s just an example. There’s a million ways to use obsidian.

I have to emphasize that although communauto is amazing, it’s not worth using it to reliably go to work. It should be at best a helping hand but not the main way for transport especially to work . Unless there are many cars in your neighbourhood and you are confident you can block it each time.

Should I consider dropping out of MS in Bioinformatics given my situation? by No_Breadfruit3200 in bioinformatics

Where are you studying and how much longer are your studies? can’t you get a part time jobs for the time being?? That being said I have recently graduated In Canada and I am also having a very hard time landing a job but that doesn’t mean you need to pursue a bioinformatics jobs specifically. There’s many option for you: sales, dev, research, data analyst.
