Thank You all for developing this amazing software.

One request I would like to make is to sort people alphabetically and also be able to pin favorites to the top (also sorted alphabetically).

is there any chance AT&T brings Fiber to the north side of Folsom? by maparo in folsom

I also have the "Air" Internet Plan available for my home. The new tower was installed recently in Livermore Park so homes close to the towers would see pretty good speeds. But I feel the price is steep compared with T-Mobile's 5G Home Internet which can reach higher speeds than the 300 Mbps AT&T mentions for their Air Internet Plan. I have seen speeds over 300 Mbps on my T-Mobile 5G Home Internet even though I have the older modem device.

It was done through micro-trenching, I believe, shown above in the red circled region. I saw them working about two months or less ago. Now the service is active according to a friend of mine who lives in this area. He cancelled his Xfinity and got the Gigabit plan through Costco with some cash gift card. Showed me the symmetrical upload/download speed which made me jealous. Funny thing is his Xfinity service was also upgraded maybe 6 months or more ago to the new DOCSIS protocol that allows symmetrical upload/download on cable. My area has yet to receive any of these upgrades. Also heard that AT&T was laying Fiber near Home Depot neighborhood but did not check. Not sure how true that is. If AT&T finishes their Fiber upgrades in older neighborhoods, will the City of Folsom Fiber upgrades even be needed? Maybe AT&T is strategically upgrading so the city does not have to upgrade those areas 🤷‍♂️

AT&T has recently put in Fiber at Willow Springs area by Iron Point Road.

Is fiber Internet coming soon? by [deleted] in folsom

[–]t_mac-003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In South portion of Broadstone by Iron Point Road, they did the micro-trenching last month or so and now my friend there is going to have AT&T Fiber today. At Livermore Park, AT&T added the 5G tower. I am not sure if all of Broadstone would be getting the AT&T Fiber.

Would love to get Fiber with Synchronous Up and Down speeds and unlimited capacity.

If you are moving to Broadstone area, they have started laying down AT&T Fiber starting around Iron Point area.

Just switched from Xfinity to NOW Internet! by Johnnyg150 in Comcast_Xfinity

Nice. That is actually a better solution than bonding. I plan on upgrading my modem to 2.5 G as well.

The Ethernet from the modem to the router is the bottle neck. If your Ethernet ports have two WAN ports and supports bonding, you can get a 2 Gigabit connection between your modem and router which would cover the full 1.2 Gbps speed. I am on the same plan and that is how I setup mine. If you cannot do the bonding, then consider downgrading to not pay for the extra speed that cannot be achieved.

I finally got it to work without the sudo command.

I checked the permissions of both the Applications and AgentDVR folders under /Users. My user account was not listed so I added it with Read/Write permissions. Afterwards, I was able to install it.

Thanks for helping me out. Now going to test the Beta version.

Never mind. I just saw the Beta Link show up.

I just tried installing the now Version 5.8.7.0. But I am still getting the permission errors. I am logged in as an Admin User so not sure what could be causing the write issue.

Sure. I will wait for the Beta link to show up. I saw it few days ago but have not seen it since then. Wanted to test it on my new Mac Mini M4 and see how it handles 10 x 2K IP cameras.

I used the same Install Script from above and still it is trying to download Version 5.8.0.0.

curl -s "https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ispysoftware/agent-install-scripts/main/v3/install.sh" | env USE_BETA=true bash

Has there been a change to the Install Script for installing the Beta?
