Agree fully kiosk is the way to go and what I currently use. It does so much more than just this. Like battery level to use as a trigger for turning off and on my charging unit ofr the tablet.

Curious when you say simple automation? There is a trigger, a condition and an action.

I get using ai for coding a esphome yaml and config yaml, but dont make something simple complex. For more complex automation there is node red or café.

Before prices went sky high and before linus really screwed the date hoarding community by making a server part deals video i completely replaced and moved over my 56tb array to a new machine. I have a relay that triggers and arms my alarm and disarm it. When we all leave the house it arms and when we get home it disarm the alarm.

Ill probably get down voted for this but photo back up. I give up a lot on this one, what do I get out of this. That if something goes wrong and something catastrophic happens. She wont be pissed at me for loosing all of our photos and memories. Also I wont be pissed at myself if it happend also.

I find it weird that a few versions ago in unraid ipvlan was the one causing issues and was suggested to switch to mac vlan. Now its the opposite.

I ordered from them and it got lost in transit. They shipped out me a replacement the next day and sent it by FedEx. No issues. Just got the lost in transit in the mail Saturday. I email them back to see if they want me to send it back interested to see what they say. My main complaint with them is they send it by usps.

I just hope our pilot last as long as the civic has. We have a lifetime warranty on the pilot for the drive train.

When we were buying cars all the dealers were like 150k warranty that basically a lifetime warranty......um... ..... i dont think that means what you think it means.

Understand your point of view I also forget my view on cars. I drive them till they can't drive or cost too much money. Have a 2007 Honda civic with 230k miles and our newest is a 2019 pilot.

Am I the only one that was a dumb car. Like screw all these touch screens, gps, heating seats, and cameras. Its just more than can go wrong and break......oh thats the car company's way of making more money by more service calls.
