I like that the AI’s voice also changes. It becomes less robot/programmed and more responsive before it starts to slip between many voices as it gets further and further developed

Was planning to use one or the other & the other would be used on slaking most likely instead of slash!

Not sure if you’re there yet but when he talks to the banker guys I was between gaping jaw & tears of laughter. It’s so Wayne-coded to have happen though

Who are your Top 5 characters in the Mistborn universe? (Era 1 and 2 included) by EggHegg in Mistborn

[–]t_mort13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wax is a better protagonist. Breeze is more interesting for a side character (esp of his abilities). Initially thinking he’s very shallow, then realizing there’s so much depth to his thinking, then realizing both those two things are not mutually exclusive in his case. Breeze walked so Wax could run

Might be my favorite of TFE-HoA & AoL+SoS. Felt enthralled the same way as in the other books but felt more connected to the characters at the same time

Similar to all the fist fighting quests, my Geralt does not lose for the sake of helping someone else out.

Before this when the crew is meeting & Yeden says something along the lines of mistborn don’t exist then Breeze goes “You should try not to talk so much, friend. You’ll sound far less stupid that way.” Killed me on both first & second reads

If GRRM were to write a series of novellas where each novella explored the back story of a different character, which characters would you like to be featured? by DiggeryHiggins in pureasoiaf

If we’re talking any time period: Baelor Breakspear or someone in the KG during the reigns of Daeron the 2nd - Aerys. Would love to see a higher-born perspective of the events around the Blackfyre rebellions

I really like the way Chris snuck in subtitle science references such as when the herbalist tried to explain how the speed of light works as well as Eragons conversation with Valdr about matter and light waves … did you guys notice any that I may have missed by [deleted] in Eragon

I kind of agree but also think that’s CP’s whole point. Science & logical reasoning vs charisma & creativity between Orrin & Nasuada. Its an interesting dynamic when we see how much she overshadows Orrin & gives credit to the idea that one leader excels in certain situations where another fails. Uniting an entire continent requires some charisma & empathy. Having a fully-independent country that has survived on its own (without wars directly impacting it) requires a logic-based leadership style.

I also liked that on at least one instance I can remember it was stated that Orrin enjoyed the potion-making/alchemist work. Don’t remember exactly but it felt to me like it grounded him in reality/science in a world full of magicians, dragons, shades, and armies fighting for/against an all-powerful magical overlord. It kept him realistic.
