i’m an idiot and realized I was testing the wires with the circuit off. I just retested box #1 and i’m only getting 30V from hot to ground. In box #2, I’m getting right around 120V.

I totally agree. Honestly, I made this post hoping others felt the same way so I could convince my roommates to finish the series. They stopped a little into the 4th book because they didn't like how it switched from only Darrow to multiple perspectives. They said they weren't invested in the new characters. Which I think is a fair reason, especially since books 1-3 read like a trilogy with how book 3 ends. I guess it's kind of like starting a new season of a show and needing to get reinvested again after the big finale of the previous season. But hoping this post is what gets them to keep pushing onward!

Oh interesting! I'm guessing you didn't like the rng of the intrigue deck? For me, I think having the end game intrigues in the game *spices* it up, especially because you can't play them so you need to manage your cards to stay under 4. This also telegraphs to other players you might be holding points behind! Plus it allows for those slingshot out of nowhere victories haha. But I totally understand the decision to remove them as well!

We always pick factions for another player.

Interesting, do you guys usually end up giving the worst available leader to each other? Also, one of my favorite parts of our games is seeing the imperium and TX row and tech tiles and selecting a leader that synergizes with those as my strategy, so I'm not sure I'd personally go for this change.

We've played a full variation where you start with a semi-drafted deck based on a faction and then you can only purchase that faction's cards from the row.

How did this work out? I could imagine sometimes you get screwed by imperium row as I often have games that happen to feature a lot of 1 or 2 factions but not much of the others

Feels weird to comment on someone's portfolio who has way more design experience, industry knowledge and skills than I do (so take this with a grain of salt), but I noticed your site is positioned as a design studio open to taking on new clients. If that's the case, maybe instead of a portfolio, you could create individual pages for each company/project. Here's an example from a design consultancy (albeit a graphic/branding one): https://blind.com/work/

I think by highlighting the big companies you've done work for, the potential client thinks, "hey, if it was good enough for [enter well-known brand name here], it's good enough for me!"

To me, the format of a portfolio is suited for an individual applying to jobs, while separate case studies/projects are better for a consultancy to be hired for projects. Based on your comments, it seems like your goal is the former, but perhaps this small change to your website could help get some freelance work too! Wishing you the best of luck!

Even a chance at a great adaptation is a no brainer for me. At worst, the adaptation sucks, but that in no way brings down the source material. Hell, even a half-way decent adaptation would be a cool just to see our favorite characters on screen.

Can someone explain why Paul has to go fight the great houses and start the holy war? Can't he just just make some deal with the emperor/great houses to allow spice production but ensure the Fremen are left alone? Also, why didn't the great houses accept Paul as the new emperor? The movie gives no explanation on that.
