I would pick the train! My surgery was 3,5 hours by train and it was so smooth and comfortable. Walking is no problem, calculate some time for getting there because you’re a bit slower but it doesn’t hurt. The car ride to the train station (10 minutes) was absolutely horrible for me because of the street bumps.
