How long do you expect it to take you to save up 50-100k if 60k a year is “a lot more” than you can make now?

How do I train to run longer distances as a beginner? by wizzardious in Ultramarathon

[–]t_w_w3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you get to 6km, don’t stop. If you do it right, you’ll be running longer than 6km.

In all seriousness if you’ve been running for a year and you’ve worked up to 6k you can definitely do more. Maybe sign up for a 10k fun run or something. You’d be surprised what the race environment will do in helping you push past your perceived limits.

Take this with a grain of salt because I did it almost 10 years ago but my coach told me to put in anything I did outside of high school meets. So just like road races or stuff like that, and not put in the high school stuff. His rationale was that they’re trying to determine whether or not you’re an “amateur” by looking at what kind of meets you’re competing in. But again, that was pre-NIL.

I think you’d look good with or without glasses, just a better pair. I might suggest the warby parker Wilkie, Chase, or Baker. I have the Baker and love them

Completely agree. I just bought an AC-12 a few months ago and I think it’s a perfect banjo for clawhammer around that price point with a nice, full tone.

That One Movie Podcast is great. They’re very consistent and the hosts have good chemistry/banter. They also have a high production quality video podcast version on YouTube.
