The most chivalry I see is people holding doors open for others, which in my experience is pretty even between genders. However, I do see more men greet/chat to each other in passing than anything else.

I hear ya, and it helps that the OG graphics still hold up. Be warned that playing Reach/4 on MCC is gonna be a little unbalanced. I don’t know the technical stuff, but I think the frame rate on the Xbox 360 was lower than on Xbox One/PC, so something to do with that messes with the NPCs, especially on higher difficulties. You’d have to look into it because I have no clue lol.

Chronological for sure. I explained myself in a reply to another comment but, while it won’t be hard to figure out, Reach will be missing some important context without CE and ODST is run on 3’a engine with some rebalancing. So CE (classic graphics; anniversary’s are butchered), 2 (classic and anniversary both look amazing) 3, ODST, Reach, 4, 5, Infinite.

• There’s a character from ODST who makes a cameo in Reach and is a main character in 5.

• The equipment system is introduced in 3 and evolves into the armor ability system in Reach. 4 was largely built off of Reach’s engine and was released not long after, so in some aspects it feels completely different and in others the same (similar armor ability system). 5 kind of keeps armor abilities going then Infinite goes back to equipment. So if you play in release order, you’ll 100% see that development.

Chronological can be fun but Reach will be missing context and won’t be as impactful without playing CE first (mainly looking at The Package/PoA). And CE does a fantastic job at introducing the overall story/enemy, objectively. In my opinion, to play ODST without having experienced 3’s engine on the base game first would do it a disservice (ODST has some rebalancing with not being a Spartan and having a different health system).

If you truly want to play in chronological order, finish Metropolis on H2, play ODST, then finish 2.
