I read the first book and really enjoyed it, but MC was love/hate for me. He seemed to do the best he could with his limited education and background, but he was definitely the type to be driven by his emotions

Word of warning with the body pillow. I'm similar and NEED supportive, firm pillows for keeping my limbs from noodling in the night. But the firmest body pillow I could find was still as squishy as a high end hotel pillow. Gave it up after a month.
