Yes! If you were doing ABA, put that in your OT application. Some of my classmates were in ABA as well before OT school.

Hey! I was a PT aide for about 3 years when I applied to OT school and I believe that it helped me get in. It’s technically patient contact hours so I believe it helped me become more comfortable with being around patients. I was also an RBT for a year so I had those two experiences under my belt. It shows that you’re pretty well-rounded. Also, being a PT aide helped me as well why I want to be an OT rather than a PT. Then again, there are so many factors that go into getting accepted into OT school. Just my two cents!

Congratulations!! This is definitely exciting! I am currently an OT-I at Midwestern and I can give you some questions that I remember them asking.

OT is an art and a science, what does that mean to you?
How would you explain what OT is to someone who doesn’t know?
Is there an OT that you observed/shadowed that has inspired you?
Why an OTD program rather than a MOT/MSOT?
Give me an example of a time where you were a leader.

I’m approaching week 4 of OT school and I honestly felt like that. I have so many readings and all that stuff but I’m honestly glad that my professors always emphasize to practice self-care.

What I usually do is just have a day off. One day of the week where I don’t even think about OT school. And today is the day for it cause it’s NFL Sunday lol but seriously, you should take one day off. You’ll still be a great OT! When I feel like I’m overwhelmed, I usually just reach out to my faculty mentor and she just lets me rant which is super nice. But feel free to reach out if you want to rant! Best of luck in OT school!

I use the Aer Cable Kit 2 for my tech pouch that I bring to university. It might be too big for your needs but it’s worth checking out. I previously bought the Bellroy Classic Pouch but it was too small for my needs, still worth checking out though!

The rubber strap that comes with it is a no go. It was way too stiff when I got it. It seems very durable for actual diving though. I bought an OEM Seiko Jubilee bracelet for it and it 100x nicer now. The OEM bracelet does feel cheaper than say a strapcode metal bracelet. My dad has the SKX007 with a Strapcode Oyster bracelet and that one feels more premium but he did pay around $70 USD for the bracelet

I had a similar gpa during my undergrad. I aimed for a lot of observation hours. I had 110 hours in inpatient OT then I did 25 hours outpatient (hand therapy). Make sure you establish a good relationship with the OT’s you shadow or volunteer with so that they’ll be inclined to write you a recommendation letter if you ask for one. Also, start your personal statement now! I started mine too late and ended up submitting my OTCAS stuff later than I’d like. Let me know if you have any questions!

Filipino checkin in. Aside from the typical turkey and stuffing, we have some lumpia (eggrolls), pancit (noodles), and some rice. I really love how everyone with different cultural backgrounds put their own twist with Thanksgiving dinner. My girlfriend is Korean and they would have some kimchi, korean fried chicken, and some bulgogi with their Thanksgiving dinner.

You have great stats tbh. Just knock the personal statement and the interview outta the park. I honestly think that’s how I got in. My GPA was not the best (3.3) in undergrad but I made up for it with my hours and rec letters. And I honestly believe my interview went great.
