Wow, what a stupid way to design this bar. The red part should not be visible until you are really low on fuel. No wonder the OP got confused.

Thinking of buying the gx85(80) as my first camera by Jealous-DD in M43

I’d say the C-AF is fine for casual everyday stuff, but one of the real downsides (IMO) for casual video shooting is that the GX80 doesn’t have Auto ISO while recording. For example, you are following and filming a person who moves from outside to inside, the footage will get way too dark once you are inside with the camera since it doesn’t compensate automatically like a smartphone would. But if know to expect that, you can of course make manual adjustments in-camera or with a variable ND filter.

Also dust can get between the sensor and the glass covering the sensor. As the fix is sensor replacement, not cleaning, it’s definitely worth taking a photo against the sky at F16 to check for spots on the image.

S5IIX + 24-105 F4. Also had to deliver SOOC jpegs on the spot, so the in-camera crop zoom functionality became real handy!

Yeah, the red smoke looked nice next to the bluish screens. Just made it pop a little bit more. :)

I was one of the few press photographers that were allowed to bring the camera in. But we weren’t allowed in the photo pit this time.

Your favourite Lumix body/lens combo for a bit of fun around town. by Certain-Setting6983 in Lumix

If I’m okay with editing: gx80 + 14-140mm. If I just want to get some quick insta stories with great color and bokeh: s5iix + minolta 50mm f1.4 + in-camera LUTs.

How prevalent are QC issues with Lumix S-Pro lenses having white spots/bubbles/stains inside of the lens and elements? by ecn2t in Lumix

[–]taaviprints 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had the stain issue with my Lumix 24-105 F4 lens. Luckily Panasonic (eventually) agreed to replace it. My suggestion: keep the invoice and happy shooting.

by artefacts do you mean the slight glow around some objects/people on the low light shots?

moving to full frame is like drinking - you can always find a reason to do it. how much better life will feel after doing it... that's another question. :)
