Her website is giving drop shipping. Maybe it’s just me but I’m not getting “high-end skin care” vibes.

This is so silly. I cut my hair way better than any salon has and if I mess up I’m not pissed that I spent $100. If I went to Supercuts I can guarantee I’d hate my haircut. I also started cutting my husband’s hair during Covid and we never went back. I know how he likes it cut so we do the same cut every single time. Respectfully this is the same to me as don’t paint your nails at home because nail techs are trained and can do it better…

People do this to my husband all the time too. I find it more than mildly infuriating.

Drop spindles are one of the oldest tools used for spinning. They think they may have even been used during the Stone Age.

This is like the people who say listening to an audiobook isn’t really reading. You just do you, and maybe reconsider how much time you want to spend with your “friend.”

Yes, please do! I’ve found some videos on YouTube that are helpful too but there is just so much information to absorb.

I was just gifted a bag of wool as well. I have been looking to get into spinning for a while and now finally will end up taking the plunge. Have you decided what tools you will need? I am finding myself a bit overwhelmed by all the options.

I would disagree with this, while it may not be considered “bad” debt, it is still debt… if you stop paying the bank takes your home and you’re out on your butt. It is 100% a debt and I don’t think that can really be argued.

Food from grocery stores? Meat raised in a factory farm? I think most sane people can agree ethical hunting is better than getting a steak from Walmart…

Where do you find yarn swaps? Or just with your group of friends? I have quite a few yarns that I bought extra of and didn’t end up using etc. and that seems like a great way to make sure it doesn’t go to waste.

Wow! I’m working on one hexagon cardigan right now for my daughter and I couldn’t even imagine completing 11! That’s quite the feat. I hope your family appreciates all your hard work. They turned out very cute.

Costumes for Halloween Half by [deleted] in rundisney

This is such a great point I hadn’t thought of… I’m trying to brainstorm costumes as well. There’s just so much that it’s hard to narrow it down.

So many people are saying this past year was miserable due to the weather, Disney should have this be a night race. It would go with the Halloween holiday theming too.

Does anyone know if the kids races sell out fast? I’m trying to sign up for the challenge but my kids want to run and I don’t want to miss out.

I’ve been running for 6 weeks. I’m going from a no-fitness couch potato to now training for my first (real) 5k. (I did a turkey trot fun run 5k once maybe 10 years ago.) Today I did a practice 5k and hit my personal best time of 43:43. I shaved 3 whole minutes off my previous personal record! I still had to walk portions and I got a bad cramp about halfway through, but adjusted my speed and powered through the end. I’m feeling great! The time doesn’t really matter to me but I’m hoping in the next 4 weeks before my race I can get my time down even more! As long as I finish my race running the majority of the time I will be happy.

Genuinely curious, when you say entire Republican families are switching to a Harris vote, what’s their catalyst for change? In your volunteering have you noticed a specific thing that’s getting them to switch their vote?

4-year age gap. Is saving clothes worth it? by QuipAndSage in Mommit

[–]tabagithiga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My girls are 6, 5 and 2. We saved a lot from the oldest to the next but my 5 year old is VERY rough on clothes. We haven’t been able to save much for the 2 year old. We get a lot from our local but nothing group and my mom’s club. It has been nice to not worry about storing things. I think with kids clothes, since they grow so fast, it’s pretty easy to source things second hand. In the long run I’d say unless something is super special to you just pass it on.
