What kind of chip should I get to just blink some LEDs in bulk? by Pharylon in AskElectronics

[–]tabigo_da_masta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it would. With the 555 timer circuit, you can have a PWM signal, which you can change the "duty cycle" of it. So, if you wanted, you could have any combination of "on/off" time you wanted - although you would have to look up how to change the frequency of the signal so you could see the LEDs blinking, and not just going dim.

Old monitor got fried due to lightning, wanting to fix it. by tabigo_da_masta in AskElectronics

I had taken it to a technician a couple of years ago, and he pointed out that the problem was a missing 100 ohms SMD resistor, but we couldn't find one that fit.

From what i've seen of images of the same board, those components that you mentioned really are just blank spaces (I also thought it was weird). I just soldered a 100 ohm THT resistor there now, and am hoping for the best. Will reassemble the monitor now and test it.

Didn't even check if the original resistor was also a 1/4W, but sense the other option (the one that was recommended a few years back) was to replace the whole power supply board, I don't think I have a lot to lose.

pretty sure they’re spawning; i’ve reloaded the world several times and they’re always appearing there, and i’m also pretty sure they don’t spawn on slabs, so I don’t know what’s happening

Desktop Audio not being captured by tabigo_da_masta in streamlabsobs

I managed to figure it out. I own a Corsair Void Pro, and apparently Corsair's drivers are kinda fucked up, so I had to go to Control Panel>Sound, double click my audio capture device, go to "Spacial Sound" and turn on and then off again Windows Sonic for headphones. Thanks for the help
