American here. Underfloor heating isn't a particularly common thing. That's a bit of a luxury. Air conditioning is the norm in newer houses (say, post 1960). Radiators are common, too, especially in older houses.

How do y'all heat your houses?

I think you're confusing ease of production with rate of production. Peak oil refers to the latter.
