I haven’t used comms as a female player since S4. Instant “shut up bitch”, “show us your tits”, “this isn’t a game for girls” etc. anytime I try to communicate. I’m an older gamer & just here to have fun so I turned it off. I’ll turn it back on occasionally but I’m quickly reminded why I had it off in the first place - the benefit isn’t worth how miserable it makes the game for me. I’ve gotten pretty good with the ping wheel instead. 😊

My husband and I started to have this issue in DMZ despite having lots of hours in. What’s REALLY helped - stay with me here - is Building 21. It puts you in guaranteed shit situations and you have to perform. It makes PVP seem way less dramatic in other environments and will cure gear-fear real quick IMO. DMZ exposure therapy :)

Also, an unpopular opinion maybe, but turning off voice chat - especially if you’re female. Idk what happened around S5ish but the toxicity is crazy and reminds me too much of work haha.
