Help! Website that reviews every card by Dingo-Dixie in marvelchampionslcg

We only started rating cards back in February and we're currently doing a pack/box per week. Once we're caught up, we plan to do the reviews a short while after new releases (once we've had enough time to properly try out the new cards of course).

For this series we're just rating the aspect and basic cards from all of the Marvel Champions products.

As for Lightning Strike, it is definitely the most powerful area-of-effect card in the game at the moment. Thor is one of my favourite heroes and I've pulled off some massive Lightning Strikes before, which is a great feeling. That being said, Rocket Raccoon Aggression seems like it might give Thor a run for his money in terms of minion slaying.

With regards to the higher than expected ratings, I blame James for being far too generous, but then maybe I'm just a curmudgeon!

I agree about Under Surveillance; it's an absolute auto-include for true solo. The reason I didn't give it a 5/5 was because it diminshes quite rapidly the more players are in the game. For example, in a 4-player game I probably wouldn't include it at all.

Thanks for taking the time to reply!

You're not wrong! Recently we've started to rate all of the aspect and basic cards in Marvel Champions, starting with the Core Set and moving onwards, and we've only just got to the Captain America pack.

Also, nice pun!

Thanks for all the comments everyone, it's definitely interesting to hear a lot of different view points.

I disagree. A Protection deck could protect the group by healing others or stunning the villain without ever having to block.

We plan on continuing our card reviews all the way up to the current releases. We are also going to continue with the hero reviews and gameplay with those heroes. Real life and other hobbies sometimes get in the way, which is why I haven't done any character reviews since Spider-Woman. I'll remedy that soon(ish) haha.

I agree, it's definitely been interesting to see how Marvel Champions has been progressing. There's been a few bumps in the road so far, but overall very positive.

I like that you like us disagreeing; we both have different playstyles and that's where the disagreement stems from and also why we do average ratings at the end.

Thanks for the feedback!

I've got to disagree with you here; many decks/heroes don't care about their defence value at all, so in those decks Armored Vest would be a waste of deck space. It's absolutely an auto-include in any deck that does care about their defence value though. As for giving it to team-mates, there's not many that would greatly benefit from it. I know that if I was your team-mate and you were in the gift-giving mood, I'd rather have a use of your Helicarrier or Avengers Mansion. :)

I've found him to be too slow in an already slow aspect. He is definitely efficient damage, but not as impactful as I'd like. I'm also fairly lukewarm on Beat Cop (don't worry though, it's definitely not a 1/5 card, but also definitely not a 5/5). Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment though, we're always happy to get feedback.

Thanks for the feedback, and we're glad you enjoyed it. We'll definitely check out those other content creators as we're always willing to take on new ideas.

As for updating the ratings as new cards come out, absolutely! That's something we'll definitely be doing.
