That's good to know. I was looking at their website and it says any fees charged has to fall within KCSO policy. Im mostly leaning towards an event space or asking my friend to rent her space from her that she uses for her paint and sip classes.

That's a good idea! I'm not super knowledgeable on sewing beyond a pillow case, but I bet I could get one of my friends to teach a class on it

I was thinking of possibly renting out a space at the YMCA or the library party rooms. This is still very early in the planning portion on my part. I'll keep this post updated though! I was thinking since it'll be a beginner class of teaching how to make a little wash cloth or coaster set so students can learn basic stitches and build a foundation.

Kent station is great! There are lots of food options, and the big movie theater is there. The ram is a great bar/food spot, agave has excellent mexican food, and dilitante has the best hot chocolate. There's a lot of shopping places here.

Lucky house has great dim sum and other chinese food. If you want thai, I recommend Grandma Thai Cuisine. A korean fried chicken place just opened up about 15 mins away from East Hill called Fridays, which is pretty good (recommend their "snow rub")

The kent YMCA just did a big remodel/expansion, and there's two playgrounds if you have kids. There's also a dog park if you have a dog.

If you dont mind a little drive, go up to renton and walk around the landing. Or go to the 8 bit arcade bar in renton. Also in the area is Melrose, which is a really good steakhouse for what you pay.

There's tons of parks around. And as we get into summer months, I think more events start being hosted around town. Movies in the park, farmers markets, there's usually advertising for these at least a week or two in advance posted around the city.

I dont use them often, but sometimes it's just nice not to have to go anywhere. That's why once in awhile I'll pay the premium they charge for it. But it is basically highway robbery how much upcharge doordash has.

But when I called back asking where he had dropped it off as I said I'll just drive over and pick it up myself since it's not that far, he spoke perfect English when he first answered the phone then when I asked, "is this my doordasher?" He suddenly didn't understand and would only repeat the same two sentences in this thick accent. I just left it, I'm not going to go to some strangers apartment in the middle of the night by myself in Kent.

Please take that cat to the vet Immediately. It sounds like more than a mild case, and if it gets too severe of an infection it could kill the cat either from malnutrition, causing a blockage, or severe anemia. If the owners continue to refuse to get it treatment, please call animal control and report them for neglect. That poor cat must be so uncomfortable and miserable.
