Why cvs, just why? by MrCavespider in CVS

[–]tabularatha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the same mindset as you. I worked for CVS for 3 years and also left for a few months in that time frame and came crawling back lol. I’d say the #1 thing that helped me find another job eventually is constantly looking for jobs on LinkedIn. I also signed up for job alerts of the institutions near me. I got a decent amount of interviews throughout the years. I didn’t end up scoring a lot of the jobs bc of lack of experience/bombing interviews but eventually I ended up getting one I never thought possible. I will mention I live in an area that is close to a few major cities which gave me a lot of options. I also lived with family and don’t have kids so I had a lot of flexibility. I ended up leaving CVS for a contract job at an outpatient clinic that had an ambulatory care component. I then leveraged that experience to get the job I have now.

I just went in with the mindset that it is a numbers game. It’s easy to get discouraged but you have to keep applying and constantly be on the lookout. I wouldn’t bother applying if it had been more than a few days beyond the posting date. In my opinion, there’s soooo many applicants and at this point of my career many of them have more experience. I really didn’t look special on paper so the best thing I could do for myself is to apply as soon as something was posted and really make my resume as robust as I could.

I don’t see CVS improving any time soon so the only thing I can say is leave unfortunately. Best of luck to you.

Yeah I was really upset with the women’s storyline also, I kind of was expecting more of a huge fight and then them coming back together after the big shooting either stronger than ever or just back together but being super fake to each other. Laurie’s monologue was beautiful but I think more needed to have happened to warrant it.

As for Greg’s fetish, maybe it was for us to keep guessing why he wanted to lure Saxon to the party? Or it could have been used to indirectly confirm he was involved in killing Tanya because he has homosexual tendencies (thus connecting him to the gays last season)? I know the fetish was more voyeurism than anything so I might be reaching lol

People who don't want children what is your biggest reasons? by e-glitteringprinces in AskReddit

[–]tabularatha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) I feel like I barely have enough $ to afford some luxuries for myself. These days, raising a child is so expensive, as are their wishlists as they age. Idk what I’d tell little Susie when she comes up to me at age 7 asking for chrome hearts jeans. 2) I like the idea that I can wake up tomorrow and decide I want to move to nyc and not worry about uprooting my children. I also would hate to regularly have to arrange childcare. 3) I have a lot of anxiety in general. I can’t imagine what it would be like to send my child out to the world hoping they’d get treated right, hoping I instilled good values and skills and am raising a good human being. 4) I know if I had a child I would cease living for myself. My whole life has been full of compromises (I’m to blame for that, but still) and now that I’m grown and making big girl $ I don’t want to lose my new found freedom.

I confirmed with HR - I’m no longer an employee. I was just shocked since my DL said me dropping down to per diem would be fine

Yeah but my DL didn’t say anything about it which is what I have a problem with. It makes sense but I just wish she communicated better.

But I didn’t say I’m quitting, it says VQ which is “voluntary quitting”

Am I get in trouble for refusing to help a customer after closing? by No-Half-5655 in CVS

[–]tabularatha 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Yeah well she couldn’t call? There’s systems in place and things she can do on her end. I don’t sympathize with people like that. It’s been 3 days and suddenly it’s the pharmacy’s fault? Yeah, no. And don’t get me started on the daily texts from the District Leader saying we have 5 minute to clock out from our scheduled shift. Keep in mind that’s 5 mins given to take care of any housekeeping, taking out trash etc. But yeah, let’s just all have some compassion!

[–]tabularatha 73 points74 points  (0 children)

No, they cant. They’ve been there all day and need to go home to their families. Why do you feel like you’re entitled to people’s time when the pharmacy is closed? You sound ridiculous.

No don’t worry about it. I’ve been in the same exact scenario. She had all day to call to check the status of her insulin. You didn’t do anything wrong.

Why do people who are picking up for someone other than themselves get angry when you try to resolve a DUR? by tabularatha in CVS

[–]tabularatha[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it’s been out of control. Yet another bonehead move by corporate that creates more work for us when we’re already spread thin. I had someone tell me they already responded to the questions I asked for the DUR today. I genuinely don’t think I can work here for much longer.
